It was february 14th and the school ended too quickly. Even in the taste of a bunch of very hyper demigods.
Percy and Annabeth kept their everyday routine. Provoking each other to the point someone might say would lead to a break up in a normal couple. They switched between making fun of each other, kissing, mocking the other and being the cutest couple of the entire school.
Little did they known that they all had great plans for their partners...
Percy planned on taking Annabeth to the Montauk beach. To the cabin he and his mom visited every summer, or at least the summers they could afford it. It was a very romantic idea from Percy, one he believed Annabeth would love. On the other side, Annabeth had to swear she'd not get Percy a gift... But how could she keep that promise? She simply couldn't, thinking about Percy's sparkling eyes and that smile of his when he'd finally see it.
Piper planned a simple picnic in the nature for her and Jason. Of course she kept on blabbing about how stupid and cheesy Valentine's day was but Jason changed her mind. She still considered all the commercial stuff and heart decorated everything just another proof of how crazy her mom was but her attitude on this particular day softened.
Leo kept 'secretly' sending Calypso Valentine cards to the point she couldn't fit them in her backpack.
"You're going to exterminate all the trees if you continue like that," she said, kissing him as a laugh escaped her lips. She felt Leo's hand slide down her back and she knew he slipped another card into her back pocket.
"You just can't stop," she batted his hand away. They exited the school building but didn't drive with Percy. Leo and Calypso headed to the Central park zoo, hoping to spot Rick and his penguin squad. Though Calypso was probably a bit more excited for the evening. Leo set up fireworks in Camp half blood and she knew there'd be a lot of people, excluding only Percy,
Annabeth, Jason and Piper but she loved the time spent in camp. Especially with Leo and on the beach where she felt the most like home, odly, but even after so long on Ogygia she loved the sea, beach especially.
Frank was still really awkward about the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing but he really had it this time.
"I was just wondering, would you want to have some ice cream before we go to camp?" He asked, taking Hazel's backpack.
"I'd love to," she exclaimed, pushing strand curls behind her ear.
I won't write Connor in cause I kinda have a master surprise plan for you guys, you just gotta wait :D
Annabeth's POV
"Percy when are we coming back?" Panick was totally noticeable in my voice as he ran down with two backpacks, his and mine. Did he pack my stuff? That couldn't end well if he picked my clothes... But I needed to be here to give him my 'present'.
"Why?"
"I just, just- where are we going?"
He ran to me, not letting his eyes of mine. "It's supposed to be a surprise Beth," he kissed my forehead.
"I bet I have a bigger surprise," I laughed nervously.
"How big?"
"Kinda small right now actually, but-" I was stopped by him.
"Can I guess?"
I sighed, already knowing I'd have to spill it sooner than him. "Fine."
He started thinking. "Just making sure, I didn't get you pregnant, right?" Percy laughed.
Idiot.
"Actually," I paused for a while. I really enjoyed the pure terror in his expression. "No." I scoffed, rolling my eyes.
A loud sigh escaped his mouth. "Holy Hera, you really had me there."
"That's for even suggesting that," I laughed, punching his shoulder.
"Okay. We're heading somewhere until tomorrow evening. Paul will drop Victory with Hazel and the rest in the camp tonight and Katie promised to take care of her."
Great, that means my present had to go with us...
"Wait in our room please."
I ran out the front door and into Piper's house.
"Frank?" I called but no one replied.
"Piper, Jason?"
"Yeah?" She ran down half the stairs, Jason close behind. I felt like I interrupted something. My cheeks flushed red and I grinned.
"I just came for my-"
Jason stared at me from up the stairs. He didn't know about it.
"Where's Greer?"
"In Hazel's room, go get her." Piper motioned up and ran there too.
"See you tomorrow." I smiled. Holding the handle until Jason disappeared in his room.
"Where are you going?" She smirked.
"No idea," I almost sighed. "Enjoy Valentine's day."
"I will." And with that she ran into her room. I totally didn't buy it but I walked in and knelt down on the floor.
"Come on Greer," I cheered in a baby voice, something I used on a daily basics for the past few months, and the fluffy bundle ran to me.
I ran up the stairs, setting the puppy behind our door.
"Wait here," I told the puppy and laughed. She definitelly didn't understand me.
"Ok," I laced my hands with Percy's as I stared in his eyes.
"I love you."
"I love you too," Percy smiled.
"Happy Valentine's day," I whispered to his ear. Kissing him before I backed to the door and opened it.
Of course she ran away.
"Wise girl?" Percy raised his eyebrows.
"It's a find and chase gift?" I grinned, running down the stairs to find Greer chewing my backpack.
"Surprise!" I shouted, as he spotted me. He tripped on the last stair and hit the ground with a loud thud.
Greer jumped over to him, licking his face.
"Eww." I laughed.
"It's ours?"
"Yeah. Her name's Greer, australian shepherd. Do you-"
"I love her Annabeth!" Percy scrambled to his feet.
"Can we take her with us?"
"We have to, no one stays here tonight."
Greer ate two bowls of dry food, half of Percy's lunch and one of the seatbelts... On our way there alone.
"Is this?"
"My and mom's cabin? It is," Percy smiled. Greer was on her leash behind him, skipping in the sand.
"I-"
"You love me?" He smirked.
"I was about to say I need to pee but sure," I laughed.
"You so do love me."
"You know I do," I called from inside.
The cabin was so cozy I just wanted to crawl into Percy's arms and fall asleep. Though Greer wouldn't stop biting us until she dropped dead on the floor next to the fireplace.
"I love you my Valentine," Percy caressed my hair. Leaving sparkles on my skin as he caressed my cheek and kissed me where I still felt his touch.
I walked my fingers on his chest, making him squirm as it tickled.
"Stop it," he laughed.
"I don't think so," I leaned over him. Planting a trail of kisses on his kneck until I moved to his lips.
