I awoke to a cold and empty bed, it seemed abnormal but I didn't know why I thought I have never slept in the same bed as anyone, I thought. I yawned softly and stood up hearing my bones pop. I left my bedroom and shivered at the coldness of the air conditioning. I scanned the room to see Jacob helping Gerard cook while Jacob's friends sat at the breakfast bar. I sighed sharply and plopped onto the couch.

"Good morning Violet." Jacob said with a smile. The guys looked around as they were going say anything but looked at eachother and looked down in defeat.

"Good morning." I replied furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

"Jacob can we talk?" Gerard asked pulling Jacob into a bedroom. I rolled my eyes and sighed deeply. I couldn't grasp why everything was so complicated and confusing yet.

I sat at my desk and looked through my notebook. Pictures of people and graves filled the pages. I then came across a drawing that looked like Gerard.

"I knew him before?" I said running my fingers through my hair. Suddenly a knock appeared on my door "Come in." I replied and closed my notebook.

"Hey Violet I was wondering if I could spend the day with you?" Gerard asked opening the door slightly.

"Oh...um. Sure." I responded while looking at him through the corner of my eye.

"Great, I'll meet you outside." Gerard said and smiled sadly. Any other day I would hesitant about spending the day with a stranger but because Jacob said I knew him I decided to give him a chance. I got up and slipped on converses, walking out the door. I was then met with Gerard smoking and inhaling deeply. I craved one, I needed it. Suddently I was hit with a bunch of memories. A withdraw from something, late nights on the porch, a dark figure, and Gerard. I remembered that one night from months back

"Violet, are you okay?" Gerard asked and looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I remember things, I remember!" I shouted like a excited child.

"What do you remember?" He asked with the most widest smile I've ever seen.

"I remember late nights on the porch, cigarettes, a withdraw from something, and you...I remember you." I said and turned around to look into his eyes.

"W-wait really?"

"Well a bit."

"That's better than nothing...princess." He said with a smile. Princess. I then remembered a man, with cigarette in hand, leaning against a tree and watching me as I sketched. The scent of leaves and previous rain filled the air.

"Princess..." I said thoughtfully.

"Yep, now let's go." He said and picked me up bridal style. I couldn't even express how happy I was, I mean I was remembering partial things from my life.
