"So this is my grandpa?" Piper asked and pointed at my dad's grave.

"Yep." I smiled sadly and picked at the leaves on the two red roses I held in my hand.

"And that's grandma?" Piper pointed at my mother's grave that showed much damage compared to my dad's.

I hummed in response and fixated my eyes on Piper who was looking at the graves in confusion. She carefully took the roses out of my hands and placed them in hers, which made the roses look bigger than usual due to her hand being so tiny. She placed one rose on my dad's grave and the other on my mom's.

"I love you guys." Piper smiled and waved bye to the graves.

"C'mon pumpkin, let's get home. I bet the pancakes are done." I smiled and softly grabbed Piper's hand.

"Okay." She smiled and skipped along.

We approached the house and were about to walk inside the house when I heard something behind us. I turned around to see nothing there but houses and forest. I shrugged, disregarding the sound and walked inside the house alongside Piper.

"There you are! I was about to start looking for you." Gerard exclaimed while putting a heart shaped pancake on a plate.

"Sorry I couldn't find roses." I replied and sat on the couch feeling no motivation at all.

"Why did you need roses?" Jacob asked while eating a pancake.

"I visited mom and dad's grave." I sighed and placed my arm sloppily over my eyes.

"Why?"

"It's dad's birthday." I said and felt a tear escape my eye.

"Oh." He breathed out.

I sat up, placed my elbows on my knees, and grabbed the roots of my hair. I breathed deeply not wanting to bust out in tears.

"You okay princess?" Gerard asked and I felt him wrap his arm around my waist.

"I miss him." I whispered and allowed a few tears to escape my eyes.

"It's okay to cry." He reassured.

I tried to hold back tears as best as I could but I eventually busted in sobs.

"I-It's my f-fault." I sobbed into Gerard's shoulder.

"No it's not Violet." He replied and kissed my hair.

"Mommy it's okay, grandpa is in heaven with the angels." I heard Piper squeak from beside me.

I looked over at her and couldn't help but smile at her goofy little grin.

"Thank you pumpkin." I said and hugged her.

After eating pancakes and just sitting around for hours outside started looking gloomy. We all carried on with our conversations as the sunlight disappeared and light rain pitter-pattered on the window. It was all okay until a crack of thunder spread across the land. One bolt of lightening lit up the whole room and all electricity shut down.

"Holy sh-sugar!" I shouted as Piper frantically crawled into my lap.

"I'll go get some candles." Jacob said calmly and walked into the storage room.

"I just about pissed myself." Frank laughed and snorted which made all of us start laughing.

Throughout this laughing fit Jacob was laying candles around and lighting them.

"It looks like we're about to spawn Satan." I pointed out and observed all the dim lit candles.

About that time scratching was heard at a door.

"The devil is trying to communicate." I whispered in fright.

"We're gonna die!" Ray shouted sarcastically.

"No!" Piper screamed.

"Sh it's okay pumpkin he's just kidding." I reassured her and gave her a quick hug.

"I'm gonna check that noise out." Gerard said and got up off the couch.

"You do that my knight in shining armor."

"Haha." He replied sarcastically as well.

We all talked quietly as the scratching continued.

"Oh, hi Poppy." Gerard said as he opened our bedroom door.

The scratching then stopped and Poppy ran over to us.

"Who locked you in my bedroom?" I asked and petted Poppy's back.

"Probably Frank." Mikey somewhat muttered.

"Why is it always my fault." Frank pouted.

"Because you're you." Ray laughed.

"It's okay Frankie, I love you." Piper said and crawled over to Frank.

"Awe!" I basically screamed and covered my mouth with my hand.

"That was so precious I'm gonna cry." Gerard said and fake cried.

"No dad don't cry!" Piper shouted and crawled back to Gerard.

"I'm just joking princess." He smiled and kissed her hair.
