"Have I ever told you how much I hate airplanes?" My mother complained to my father from the row in front of me.

"Well do you like driving out there?" He rubuttled in an attempt to get her to shut up. If he didn't soon it was gonna be a hell of a ride. We had only been sitting in our seats for less than two minutes and my mother was already complaining.

"Honey,.." She started and before another word came out I grabbed my headphones and put them in. It was gonna be a long ride, especially since we had 1 layover in Chicago.

I quickly flipped through the songs and selected my favorite Summer song, Summer Love and before I knew it I was rudely awakened.

I blinked a couple of times and finally discovered the source of noise.

"Do you mind If I take the window seat?" A tall boy about my age asked as he towered over my seat.

"Yes, Actually." I replied and reposition my head on my pillow.

"Kalen." My mom's shrill voice echoed inside my head. "Give him that seat."

I looked up at the boy, who was in deed fairly handsome, and then back at the window and rolled my eyes. He snickered and raised an eyebrow at me before I actually decided to move. I quickly plopped down into the outside edge which severely pissed me off because I hated the outside edge. You got all the stewardess' and their carts, not to mention nothing to lean your head on.

"So what's your name?" He asked politely and I turned to look at him. I could tell from the get go that he was a basketball player, what with the height, the basketball shorts, and the NHS basketball carry on bag.

"Kalen." I smiled but on the inside was still resenting the fact that I no longer had the window seat. "and yours?"

"John Luke." He smiled and pulled the curtain thing down on the window.

"You have got to be kidding me, right?" I questioned and laughed

"No my name's John Luke." He looked puzzled.

"No cupcake, the window?" I rolled my eyes. He was obviously a jock. "Are you really gonna bitch about wanting the window seat and then pull the cover over it?"

"Kalen Language." My mom yelled from her seat in which she was listening to a book on tape.

"Turn your book up mom." I demanded.

"Sorry Princess but sometimes life isn't fair." He smiled and shut his eyes. I sighed and out my headphones in but suddenly had a bright idea.

"Heyyyy?" I asked not remembering his name. He heard and took the headphones out of his ears. "Quick question, which part of Jersey are you going to?"

"Old Bridge." He responded and I smiled manically.

"So I have this friend..." I stated thinking about Alexis and setting them up.

"Is this friend you?" He asked and cocked any eyebrow.

"God No, I have a boyfriend." I snapped and then regained composure. "Her name is Alexis and-"

The rest of the flight wasn't all that bad. Cupcake and I got to known each other and became airplane friends. We discussed Alexis and decided to meet up at least once during this time. Course he was from Jersey so it would be awesome.

"Ashton?" I yelled the second we pulled up to her house. The stairs slowed me down but I found her upstairs and threw my armws around her.

"Woah. I missed you." She smiled and I spotted Steven over her shoulder being his creepy self. We pulled away and she hugged my mom and dad as I dropped all my stuff off in my temporary room. The room in which I had watched Mikey's house for countless hours. I sat at the window and stared out as I watched the door to his house open. My excitement rose as I hoped for Mikey, but it was his mom. She looked really healthy. It brought tears to my eyes just to see her, and before I knew it I was out in the cold winter air with no shoes and no coat but a warm heart.

"Mrs. Fusco?" I cried as the cold snow stung against my feet.

"Kalen?" She said tossing the garbage that she had carried out in the can.

"How are you?" I asked.

"Well I'm fine, but you're not gonna be if you stay out here like that. Why don't you come in for a cup of hot chocolate? Mikey's not home-"

"That would be great." I smiled and ran into their house.

"Kalen." Nicolette smiled and hugged me.

Mrs. Fusco continued on to make hot chocolate and we did some catching up.

"Listen, don't tell Mikey I was here, I would like to tell him myself." I smiled and directed my stare towards Nicolette.

"You know it would sure be nice if you two would just get back together already." Mrs. Fusco laughed and patted me on the back.

"It's just not that easy." I sighed and took another sip of hot chocolate.

"Oh but it is." Nicolette added.

"I have a boyfriend."

"But you two are meant for each other." She smiled and added a little hope to my collection.
