A/N: Thanks for reading and I'm sorry for not updating sooner:) Also please read my other story, "To be one again" I might be adding more characters soon;) I hope you like this chapter!

"no." I said pushing him away from me. I couldn't kiss him, it would just lead to bad things. I couldn't get attached again. Kissing Mikey always made me make stupid decisions and I wasn't going to let it happen again even if I did still love him. I had to get over him at some point, and getting over him didn't really involve kissing him.

Mikey scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Sorry. I just thought-"

"I'm sorry Mikey but this can't happen. We can't be in love because it will never last. I'll always live in California and you'll always live in Jersey. " I let a tear roll down my cheek. I didn't want to cry in Albivi's.

"Listen, there are only five more months till summer and then you'll be here right? " He asked and I had completely forgot about the tickets I got for Christmas.

"Well actually..." I started but had no clue what direction I wanted this to go in.

"what?" Mikey asked raising an eyebrow and grabbing hold of my hands.

"Nevermind. It was stupid." I tried to cover it up. He shook his head and looked down at the table. I just really couldn't start this again even if I did still love him.

"Well if you aren't going to change your mind let me just talk for a minute. I just say that you Kalen are and will always be the best thing to happen to me. You make me fall for you everytime and I know I've made some stupid decisions but If I could decide right now I would stay by you forever and always. I want to be with you forever, make you my wife, buy a house together, raise a family..." He paused looking into my eyes with his deep brown eyes. His smile grew and then faded and I remembered our first kiss on the beach. It was perfect, and it was something I'd probably never forget. All together Mikey had changed my life for the better and as hard as I tried I couldn't deny it. We definetely had something special. Mikey looked back into my eyes and smiled, " You changed my life, and no matter what you say or do I will never....forget you. We will always have this, and I wouldn't trade the memories for anything. In five years when we are setting up our life promise me one thing." Mikey said pausing.

"I don't know if I can." I said hesitantly. I didn't want to make any promises I couldn't keep.

"No just listen." He said kind of sassy, " Promise me that if you aren't married yet or even have a boyfriend that you'll come back and marry me."

"That's a lot to ask Mikey. What if it's not the same or what if you are already married?"

"I'll wait for you." He smiled. Where had I heard that before? Oh yeah the Notebook. Cheesy? yes. But completely adorable? Also yes. "Say it" Mikey said laughing.

"Say what?" I asked thinking that maybe I'd zoned out when he told me to do something.

"Say you promise." He whispered smiled. Quickly looking around I realized we were being watched by an elderly couple in the booth across from us and also the two tables beside us.
