A/N: Hey:) So I'm sorry I've been really busy lately but I'm involved in alot of school stuff at the moment. I will be done soon though and I'll have plenty of free time so look forward to more chapters. I also just want to say that I'm so excited that To Be One made a fanfic:) I also kinda wonder if they read our stories;) haha that kind of scares me. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter

His footsteps echoed on the off-beat of mine as I walked down stairs trying to avoid the awkwardness I was setting myself up for. It was supposed to be a dramatic walk away, the kind you see in movies with the dramatic music, but it didn't work as clearly as I hoped for.

"Kalen. stop." He said with a strong firm voice that pulled me in and suddenly forced me to listen. My eyes flittered as I took the last step down and stood frozen. I wanted to word this out like we always did but I was so tired, I knew I couldn't fight. I couldn't hold up my side of the arguement even if I tried.

"Mik-" I started but stopped when I realized how useless it was, wasting my energy to put up an arguement.

"We really just need to talk about this calmly and reasonably." He gripped my shoulders holding me in place. "Please. Just talk to me." He smirked and cupped my chin, tilting my head up to look into his eyes. His eyes always killed me, I closed my eyes. "What are you doing?" He laughed at my child like behaivor, but there was no way I could even speak intelligently if I was in the presence of his deep brown eyes.

"What? " I asked quietly, trying so hard not to smile but giving in was too strong it took over. I quickly forced myself to keep a straight face. "I'm tired."

"I can tell." He chuckled and the laughter brought peace and serenity to me.

"Mikey it's eleven" I yawned, resting my head on his shoulder.

"C'mon I know where we can go." He enclosed my hand in his and tugged at it as he took the first steps up the dark stairs. I stumbled to keep my footing straight as he forcefully pulled me up the stairs.

"Mikey, sleep." I whinied and begged "Pleeeeeease."

"Fine." He vaguely smiled and dropped my hand. I managed a sleepy smile and turned back around when my feet were swept out from under me. Mikey had me in a princess hold as he carried me down the stairs. I wrapped around his neck and rested my head against his chest. When we reached the bottom step Jason was the only one still up, eyes still glued to the screen.

Mikey sat down and I layed across him and quickly fell asleep.

"Morning Sunshine." Alexis whispered in my ear, waking me from my peaceful sleep.

"What time is it?" I asked noticing that she was fully ready, makeup and all.

"It's only nine. I just got up early." She whispered, but it took me a minute to realize why she was whispering. Mikey was still asleep and Jason the same. Except for the fact that Jason looked as if he had been scared to death, curled in a ball in the far corner of the room. All that was missing was his thumb in his mouth.

"Mikey. " I whispered quietly, waking him easily.

"What?" He moaned and rolled over in an effort to block us out.

"We promised Geo that we would help him today." I said flipping around to see that I had woken Jason. I lowered my voice and started again, "We promised we would help geo today with the bake sale."

"that's today?" He rolled over so that his eyes met mine, and rolled his eyes.

"Better get up Mikey. Wouldn't want to upset her now would you?" Vinny said in a solemn yet sarcastic tone walking down the stairs. Yet another clue that I couldn't quite process. I didn't understand his problem, He was just creating a very hostile envirorment.
