Chapter 40

"Thank you." I said leaving a polite smile.

"No problem, you are always welcome here." Mrs. Fusco smiled opening the door for me.

I blushed at their kindness and put on my coat, "Thanks again, oh and I forgot to ask, when exactly is Mikey going to be home?"

"In about an hour or so, he's at Vin-"

"Perfect" I smiled cutting her off and slamming the door. The snow filled the air around me as I leaped into the quiet street. Thankfully I was smart enough to have Ashton bring a pair of shoes and a coat during my visit so I could enjoy the snow.

Rarely was it that I experianced snow so I took it all in. It was wonderful as I danced in the middle of the street. Everything felt so delicate as my feet slid gracefully on the thin blanket of snow in the road.

I got carried away as I lost myself midst the snow. After a minute I ran quickly into my house and grabbed my phone before running along the road to Vinny's.

Mid way something popped into my mind I had totally spaced. Naomy. Why in the hell did I tell Mike-. Nope, nope, I wasn't going to let it get to me. Mikey and I were friends and thats where the line ended. Friends.

I am in love with Spencer, Mikey and I are just friends. I attempted to convince or more like hypnotize myself.

After a minute or so of running I finally got to Vinny's.

Without thinking I pounded on the door but soon regian composure and rang the door. Knowing Vinny and them were probably downstairs I knew his mom or sister would answer the door.

"Kalennn." Bianca smiled as she opened the door. "It's great seeing you." Her arms wrapped me and it was minutes before she let go. For what I had learned in the past year about their family hugs it didn't surprise me.

"It's great to see you." I said smiling.

"Biannnncaaa, who's at the door?" Vinny screeched from downstairs. It warmed my heart to hear his sweet voice even if he was screaming. Bianca looked at me for approval but I shook my head and walked down the stairs quietly.

"Just Madison, I'm sending him down right now." She called back and all I could do was smile.

I reached the bottom of stairs just as Vinny flipped around from his xbox game "Hey Mad-" His facial expression quickly lit his face with his beautiful smile. "Heyyyy" He held out his arms and ran as fast as he could over to me. Remarkably only tripping once over the coffee table.

"Vinny." I smiled as his arms wrapped around me, it was pure bliss. I took in the atmosphere and looked around the basement. There was Jason, smiling at me in shock. I bet they weren't expecting that.

"What the hell?" Alexis' voice came from the other end of the room, where presumably she had just come in the room. "Kalen?"

"Alexis" I smiled and she joined our group hug along with Sarah. I looked at the remaining others whcih included Jason, Nick, and little Louis.

"Come on." I sighed to the others since I was already being suffocated by my best friends. Everybody else happily joined the hug as I stood in the center feeling very clustraphobic.

"Wait...." I paused and wiggled my way out of the huddle. "Where the hell is Mikey?"

"Umm he left to Naomy a few minutes ago." Sarah answered with a big smile on her face.
