chapter three | a plan set in motion
When the group of teens finally made it to California they found a little hotel not far from Beacon Hills high school. At the moment all four teens where talking about the next step in the their plan.
They all stood around a small dinner table while looking over the files on the Harrison family. "So what's the next step?" Clary asked with a sigh as she placed one of the papers back on the table.
"We do what Hodge said. We need to get involved in her life. We need to become friends with her and as soon as we can we'll tell her everything about the shadow world. When she finally gives us the cup we bring her back home with us." Jace replied as he looked at his friends.
Alec knew there was only one way to get involved in the girl's life. And that was to go to her school. He didn't like the thought of going to a mundane school, but what other choice did he have.
Deciding to let his friends know he didn't like this idea he said, "Do we have to go to the mundane school?"
The male blonde rolled his eyes at Alec. "If we want to get involved with her then yes we do, Alec."
"Fine." Alec said with a sigh as he crossed his arms. "But how will we know where she is? The odds of us having the same classes as her are very little."
"We'll think of something, maybe we'll just see her in the hallways."
"But that won't get us closer to her." Izzy replied as she glanced at her friends from her seat.
"Maybe I can run into her in the hallway." Clary spoke up with a shrug.
"Yeah, maybe that's the only choicewe have in meeting her." Jace said in agreement.
"So, we're starting this plan tomorrow?" Izzy asked as she stood up from her seat. She was standing next to her brother. A brother who didn't look so happy but nodded nonetheless.
"The sooner the better." He replied as his eyes glanced at his sister. "But what if she has friends and they're with her?"
"We'll deal with that tomorrow. Now I suggested we all get a good nights sleep. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow." With that all four teens got ready for bed.
