chapter sixteen | a new shadowhunter
The hole pack was silent when Artemis finished explaining what happened. The blonde stayed quite to see what her friends had to say.
"What happened after you got bit?" Kira asked.
"I don't know." The blonde replied as she looked down to the table. "After I passed out I woke up in the hotel where those new kids are staying."
"The new kids?" Stiles asked. "You mean the ones that where in the hospital the other night?"
The blonde nodded as she gazed up at Stiles. "Alec must have took me to them because he was the last person I saw before I passed out."
"Why would he take you with his friends when he could have just brought you to us?" Scott asked. He didn't understand why the new kid would take his sister with people she didn't know.
"Yeah, what's his deal?" Liam asked. "I mean first he shows up out of nowhere and now he take you."
Lydia was the only one that smiled at this. "Maybe he just likes her."
The blonde rolled her eyes. She looked at her best friend while saying, "He doesn't like me, Lydia... But he did tell me why he took me to his friends."
"Why then?" Malia asked.
"He said I was a shadowhunter."
The room fell silent again. None of the pack members knew what that meant, but they had a feeling that there blonde friend was about to tell them.
"Okay, to start over and not make you guys more confused, I was bit by a demon." Artemis tired to explain.
"Demon?" Stiles echoed. "As in oni demons?"
The blonde shook her head no. "No and don't ask me what they look like because I have no idea how to describe it."
"Where did you get bit?" Liam asked.
"Right below my shoulder." The blonde replied to the young beta.
Liam was beyond surprised that Artemis was talking to him because last time he checked she hated him. Something must have happened to make her change her mind about him.
Artemis looked at her friends in embarrassment as she took her jacket off. Everyone looked at the blonde in shock when they noticed the weird looking tattoo on her neck. What made them worry was the fact that the tattoo was a bright color of red. It was as if it was infected and she was allergic to the paint.
