TONI

I felt like I was lying inside a small boat that has been stranded in the middle of a stormy weather.

"Antoinette, Darling! Come out of your room now! You haven't taken your breakfast and now it's lunchtime!" tawag na naman ni Mommy.

Then, a sound of a door knob opening, and footsteps stopped my heavy eyes from going back to sleep. Still with eyes closed, I listened to her approaching.

"Goodness, Antoinette! Naglasing ka na naman and all by yourself inubos mo ang isang bote?! Gusto mo bang magkasakit, Darling?!" she might be nagging but her voice still sounds so comforting.

It's been four days since I lost the will to even get out of bed. I don't even care if I'll fail this semester.

"Antoinette, I'm not happy with this anymore!"

I tried to open my right eye to look at Mom but closed it back when the sun's glare hit my pupil.

"Mom, the sun!" I complained like a baby then covered my face with a pillow. But instead listening to me, she continued opening the curtain before picking up the bottles of Jack Daniels, and Coke.

Wait! Did I really finish one bottle? I couldn't remember that.

"Toinette, tanghali na. Dapat ay bumangon ka na!"

"Mom? How did I end up in my room?" I asked.

"You couldn't even remember? Naku!

I honestly don't remember.

Mommy took the pillow from my face and then, pulled both my left and right arm to force me to sit.

"Oh my gosh!

The flicker of sunlight to my eyes felt like the culprit of the sharp pain in my head. "Ang sakit ng ulo ko, Mommy!" I complained like a kid again.

"Of course! We are not going to tolerate that anymore!"

She sounded really mad but since my soul lost the will to live, fear doesn't exist anymore.
