Miyuki

I finally get a chance to call Miyuki after being dragged around an amusement park for hours! I look at my shelf seeing the plush dragon we won at ring toss okay, so maybe it wasn't all bad. She's coming over to stay the night, she said she'll just leave early and walk to school in the morning. I'm glad she's coming, I miss spending so much time with her.
Amaimon is watching me with a tilted head, "why is she coming over?"
"I want her too that's why. We're best friends."
"But why is she staying? It's our room."
"And she's my friend, you said okay so it's to late to argue."
He makes an almost grunting noise and goes to dig through my bag of lollipops I bought at the store. I shake my head looking at Amber, she hisses and wraps around my bed post.
"She should be getting here in like half an hour," I mumble to myself.
"That means you can do something for me," with lollipops in his hand Amaimon comes to sit beside me on my bed. I scoot a few inches sideways to put a bigger space between us.
"What...?" I feel a nervousness I've never known before creep into my gut.
"I want you to draw a picture."
I furrow my eyebrows, "like on my arm?"
"Yes," he pulls my box of markers from under my bed. How does he know those are there....
"Why?" I frown taking the box from his outstretched hands.
"I want to watch."
"Alright I guess," I look at him a moment longer before pulling out nature colors. I'm not wearing a hoodie so I don't have to roll up any sleeves, I think for a moment then I start to draw. I'm not using a reference, which means I keep it rather simple, I make a few pine trees and add a small rocky creek to it. Once I finish I look at him, he's looking at his own arm in the spot where I drew my picture. It slowly begins to draw its way onto his bare skin, I find myself mesmerized watching the same lines I made moments ago appear on him.
A knock at the door startles us both, he quickly puts his coat and weird arm things on while I go let Miyuki in.
"Hey sista from another mista!" She has a huge grin on her face as she pulls me into a tight hug.
"What's up," I smile hugging her back.
She throws her bag onto the floor and goes to sit on the couch making herself right at home no problem. I pour her a soda and give it to her as I plop down next to her. She just now seems to notice Amaimon, they lock eyes and for a brief second I fear she's going to tackle him.
"What's that weirdo doing here?" Instead She just sips from her soda glancing at me.
"Uh long story....." I sigh. "I'll tell you later promise, but right now you need to see Amber!" I run over and take her from my bed frame, she coils around me as we reach Miyuki.
"Oh that's wicked awesome!" She laughs gently stroking Ambers scaly head with a finger.
"She's my familiar, I want to be a tamer," I quickly explain a little bit more about my classes and such. Eventually Amber gets bored with the attention and slithers to the depths under my bed.
"Alright so now this is my time to tease you and be your friend like it's a Friday night and we're watching cheesy movies," she pokes my sides making me laugh and beg for her to stop.
She laughs too, and I start to beat her with a pillow completely forgetting Amaimon is sitting on my bed watching all of this. After about a good ten minutes we're both out of breath from laughing, our faces beat red, stomachs aching from the laughter. Amaimon is just watching us, he hasn't said anything since Miyuki got here.
Miyuki doesn't seem to care a out him being here as she makes a bag of popcorn and pulls me onto the couch, turning on a movie. It's one of her absolute favorites Spirited Away. It's been awhile since I've watched it, I wonder if Amaimon's ever saw it before.
I look over at him, guilt stabs me for ignoring him so I make a weird decision.
"I'll be right back Miyuki," I flash her a smile as I get up from the couch and go over to him.
"What?" He mutters.
I don't give him and answer instead I grab his hand and pull him from the bed. He doesn't expect it so I'm able to easily drag him over to the couch, Miyuki has realized what I'm doing and has her hands out to grab his other arm as I shove him onto the couch.
I grab a blanket from my bed once he's secured in place by Miyuki holding onto his jacket sleeve, he's growling at her, not that she cares.
She let's go of him as I plop down in between them, I throw the blanket over the three of us, Miyuki giggles as she gets comfortable. The little couch is cramped with all three of us, but I'm kinda happier than I'd like to admit that we're all watching a movie together. I look at Amaimon and catch him staring at me, I smile and look back to the tv. We pass around the popcorn, he eats most of it.
"So is he like you're roommate?" Miyuki whispers to me when the movie is almost over.
"Not exactly."
"Not exactly?" She frowns.
"Well um he's kinda..."
"No way!" She grabs me by the shoulders not letting me finish my sentence.
I nod realizing she's the only one other than Mephisto to know so far.
"Jeez not much of a lucky break for you huh," She laughs and ruffles my hair.
"I don't know I mean you know how I feel about the whole soulmate thing to begin with," I laugh.
"Give him a chance girl, you never know till ya try," she snickers.
"Maybe," I glance at him and back to her.
"I think we should watch one more movie! Who needs sleep!" She grabs the remote.
"I'm game!" I grin. "How about you Amaimon?"
"Alright," he nods looking rather unnerved.
I feel myself relax a bit, I mean really relax like I get comfy on the couch I don't mind the slight feeling of Amaimon's closeness or our shoulders brushing and our hands bumping as I move around the blanket. Miyuki lays her head on my shoulder like she always does when she's about to fall asleep on movie night. Amaimon seems to relax a little too as he slouches down on the couch placing his legs on the coffee table as a foot rest. I'm really glad Miyuki came over sometimes she's just what I need, maybe even what both of us need.
