Amaimon's pov

I watch as y/n falls, I'm rather surprised that she is not flailing around or trying to catch herself, surely she does not have that much faith in me.
She is starting to get close to the ground, I suppose I should go catch her, I would prefer she doesn't die just yet.
I jump from my branch, quickly landing on the ground a mere few seconds before she falls into my arms. It takes her a moment to realize I've caught her, she is shaking slightly, but she opens her eyes and starts to laugh quietly.
"Weren't you afraid?" I frown rather surprised by her at the moment, I am sure most humans would have been terrified.
"No of course not," she shakes her head, her cheeks turn light pink as she looks at me, "well maybe just a little bit."
I set her down gently, it takes her a minute to gain her balance, but once she does she looks up to where she fell from curiously.
"So you shoved me from way up there huh?" She glances back at me, I can't tell what she's thinking, though I guess I never really can.
"Yes," I look down at the grass, I may have just made a mistake....
"And let's say you didn't catch me, would I have died?" She crosses her arms walking back to the tree.
"I would assume so yes."
She nods making an odd face, "and before you shoved me you were asking what I was willing to do for you right?"
I nod slowly not seeing where she's taking this conversation, "you never answered me."
"Right, well I thought about it on my terrifying fall, and I've decided that is a question that takes some time to answer," she nods seeming quite sure of herself.
I tilt my head not understanding the point she is trying to make, "how it's a question?"
"It just does," she shrugs starting to smile and letting her arms dangle by her sides, "Like right now I can say I'm willing to come to Gehenna just to find you, maybe even just to see you if I had to, but maybe tomorrow I wouldn't or maybe I'd do even more for you it all depends."
I think I'm even more confused by her answer the before, how could her opinion change on a day to day basis, "What would you have done for me when we met?"
"Well apologize for knocking you over, and maybe buy you lunch," she giggles shoving me playfully.
"Why?" I catch myself not feeling like playing along at them moment.
"I didn't know you then that's why, but I did think you were kinda cute," she admits taking a step away from me.
I smile a little, "I believe that's a first someone has described me as cute."
"Well I have a question for you, what would you do for me?" She glances at me looking almost afraid as to what I might say.
"Right now I want to go home with you," I shrug, I do not really know what I would do for her, I suppose I left to make sure I wouldn't hurt her and I want her to like me, but would I go looking for her if she disappeared?
I look at her and notice she's shivering, I forgot she was soaked from the river, falling that fast would only have made her colder, her clothes are sticking to her skin.
"Are you cold?" I mumble feeling somewhat oblivious, how did I not notice that...
"Maybe," She laughs looking down at her clothes, "but I'll be fine, it's warmer now that I'm not moving."
I take off my coat and hand it to her without looking her in the eyes, "put this on."
"I said I'm fine," she smiles shaking her head.
I sigh throwing my coat over her wet hair, "put it on."
"Okay jeez," she slips into my coat, it is a bit big on her and a bit too long, but it will help her get warm. "Thank you," she mumbles her cheeks turning colors again, I've noticed that happens a lot lately.
I sit down wondering when my brother will come get us, she sits beside me running her hand over the flowers.
"Oh crap!" She looks at me suddenly her eyes wide, "Mephisto opened a portal for me, he said he would keep it open as long as he could, but he did close it when I got here..."
"Do you know where?"
"No I just remember meeting Egyn it was dark though and rocky I think," she runs her hands through her hair nervously.
"Hmm we could go look for it," I suggest glancing at her.
"We probably should I guess," she starts to get up sighing.
"We could wait a little longer though," I grab her wrist and tug her back to the ground, she ends up laying on top of me.
"Yeah I guess we could," she laughs poking my nose, "it's not like your giving me much of an option."
I look up at the sky, well what is considered the sky here, I can hear behemoth running over to us before I see him, I wondered where he had gone.
He is not the best at being quiet, especially in his leash, he jumps onto y/n making her squeak.
I stifle a laugh, she tries hiding her face in my coat, but it's already soaked with slobber. Satisfied he has her attention Behemoth gets off of her, he sits next to her and repeatedly nuzzles her arm until she starts petting him. A few minutes go by before she rolls off of me, she lays back beside me, I glance at her wondering what's going through her head.
Suddenly she scoots closer to me, she lays her head on my chest and sighs, "okay this is nice."
"You enjoy this?"
"Maybe," she smiles a little bit, she says maybe a lot too...
I put my arm around her, she doesn't move away much to my pleasure, Behemoth whines wanting attention once she stops petting him, eventually he settles on just sitting by y/n.
I close my eyes for a moment trying to make sense of how I got here, to this moment I never saw myself in.
I know I would have eventually gone back to find her, even if she hadn't come searching for me, I suppose I could say I would have missed her, a concept very new to me.
I think about her parents, how angry they made me, how I thought I'd hurt y/n, I look at her, her breathing is steady and slow, she fell asleep here?
She looks so vulnerable when she's sleeping, it makes me want to stay with her for as long as I can, I want to protect her, she's mine.
I must doze off, because I'm awoken by someone tapping my side with a boot. I glance annoyed up to see Mephisto, he looks as if he's stuck between trying to be mad and being relieved at the same time.
Y/n hasn't woken up yet, my brother sees her and smiles shaking his head, "she's definitely yours brother."
I try not to smile, but I do a little bit, I don't want to show Mephisto just how much I enjoy his words.
"We need to get to Assiah, I'm unable to keep a gate open much longer," he sighs tiredly turning around, "I assumed she would have forgotten anyway."
"Fine," I gently shake y/n awake, at first she looks flustered forgetting where she is, but soon enough recollection fills her expression.
She spots Mephisto and her face turns beat red, "how long have you been here?"
"Not very long, we're heading back to Assiah now y/n," he chuckles looking over his shoulder at her.
She nods, she flashes me a smile as we start to follow Mephisto, I feel her lace her fingers with mine, I glance at her to catch her smiling. I can hear Mephisto chuckling again and I know he noticed our intertwined hands too.
It's a nice feeling to be connected with her, perhaps that is what it feels like to have a forever mate. I know she still hasn't decided what to do with our relationship, but after today I don't suspect she'll be leaving on my own, for now at least.
Behemoth is chasing after us, I know he'll be coming to Assiah with us, he doesn't enjoy being alone for long either.
Mephisto stops at the gate, he lets us cross over before him, he shakes his head as Behemoth bolts over as the gate is about to close which makes y/n laugh as he tackles her once again.
I watch the gate close wondering what punishment I'm going to receive for hurting two humans, he isn't sending me to Gehenna or he would have just kept me there I assume.
He sighs looking at y/n, "you did manage to find him, I must say I'm rather impressed."
She beams at him, "I told you I could didn't I?"
He smiles at her something sparkling in his eyes I haven't noticed before, when he turns his attention to me however he looks angry.
"How many times have I warned you not to hurt the humans!" He growls twirling his pink umbrella.
Y/n looks at him pleadingly, he avoids her stare though, instead focusing on me and my silence.
"I should send you away, or lock you up again, yet that obviously taught you nothing," he mutters taking a step towards me.
I sigh shrugging, I am not sorry for what I did, "they were being mean to y/n."
He goes and sits at his desk tapping his fingers on the top of it impatiently, "hmm yes as I've been told, I suppose a suitable punishment would be to separate you two then wouldn't it?"
Y/n looks as shocked as I feel, "you want to separate us?"
"Yes I do, temporarily of course," he scowls at me somehow knowing this is one of the worst ways to punish me. If I wouldn't get in more trouble I would attack him, but I need to stay calm or I'll make it worse.
"You have to be joking," y/n leans against the desk so he has to look at her.
"Oh no in fact I'm quite serious, I'll allow you a phone call to find a place away from the school to stay for at the least a week," he looks at her as if he is sorry, but I know he isn't.
"At the least?" She groans taking to pacing the office.
He nods looking me as if daring me to do something, "depending on his behavior perhaps longer."
"Why don't I just stay in my dorm?" She frowns  stopping to look between us, "you could keep him at your place."
"You can figure that out for yourself my dear, now I'm going to prepare you're school work for you while you make arrangements," he makes his way out of the room stopping in the doorway, "and one more thing neither of you are permitted to use your connection to talk either, understood?"
We both nod knowing there's no way out of this now.
Y/n picks up the phone Mephisto left on the desk and dials in someone's number, I block out the sound of her voice focusing on what I can do to get around this punishment.
I glance at Behemoth who's battling Amber and running around in a circle, suddenly it strikes me my brother didn't mention anything about familiars.....
She hangs up the phone with a sigh, "I'm going to Miyuki's."
I stare at her blankly not knowing how to respond, I suppose it's good she's staying with someone I know too.
"You better be good," she playfully punches my shoulder, though there's a sadness in her eyes, "A week without you is going to be boring enough, who's going to annoy me?"
I smile despite wanting to try and kidnap her before Mephisto comes back, "Are you saying you'll miss me?" 
"Not at all, I've only been living with you how long now?" She laughs looking down.
Mephisto walks in moments later, "Have you found a place to stay?"
She nods, "Miyuki's."
"I'll accompany you there, are you ready?"
"I guess so," she sighs thinking, "I have some clothes and stuff there from staying there so much."
"Let's be on our way then," he picks his phone off his desk as well as a small package that was hidden under a stack of papers.
Y/n suddenly tackles me into a bear hug, I nearly lose my balance taken by surprise.
"Don't do anything stupid," She mumbles into my shirt before letting me go and reluctantly following Mephisto still wearing my coat.
At my command Behemoth is chasing after her, I grab Amber to prevent her from following just as she was slithering out the door.
I'm sure y/n will understand my reasoning, besides Mephisto would sooner disapprove of a lose naga than a hobogoblin.
I look out the window watching my brother and her get into his strange pink car, she looks out the window up at me and waves as the car pulls out.
I feel an odd tug from my chest, I think I'm going to miss her more than I should admit....
Why must I suddenly want to be with her more than ever when she is being taken from me.....
