The Mission

I'm running around the dorm getting my bag packed, I just found out we will be staying in a small town for this mission and it's not close to here by any means. It's going to be for two days, according to Yukio and it's only our class who is going. I look at Amaimon's sleeping figure, I know I'm going to regret this.....
I shake him awake which makes him throw a pillow at me, I dodge it and continue to shake him. He grabs my arm and pulls me onto the bed, I shriek in surprise and start to struggle.
"Why are you waking me up!" He grumbles very annoyed.
It takes me a moment to find words, I stop struggling, "I want you to come with me."
"I thought you and brother agreed I'd only mess things up," he growled showing he has not quite forgiven me for that.
"Yeah, yeah I know and we fought so you are probably still mad at me, but just please come?"
"Why should I, I'll be bored anyway," he finally looks at me which right now is a score.
"I don't really talk to anyone in my class, I've talked to Rin like twice and that's about it, I'm shy around groups of people.... It sounds selfish, but I don't want to feel alone," I avoid looking directly at his face, instead I focus on his hand still holding my arm. "I'll pack you food, and find something for us to do in my time off, please?"
He thinks this over tilting his head, "And I want to pick something for you to draw."
I raise an eyebrow, "you mean like my tattoos?"
"Yes," he nods looking at my arms.
"Uh okay, sure if you want," I frown, what an odd request.
"I will go with you then," He releases me and jumps out of bed.
"We have to leave in ten minutes to catch the train," I mumble as I continue checking everything and shoving a few little things in my bag.
"Okay," he says, shoving his pockets full of lollipops.
I grab my markers and make sure to grab Amber's little blanket I bought for her I also shove in a hoodie, who knew how much a backpack could hold.
"Don't tell Mephisto you're coming," I mutter once we are getting close to the station.
"I won't."
"I uh I'm sorry about yesterday, I probably seem like a lunatic to you," I sigh knowing what little good it will do.
"Not really no," he smirks looking at me, "Perhaps a little strange."
I smile at the ground, "well you're strange too."
"Maybe," he chuckles, "seems we go together well then..."
Yukio sees us first, he was smiling, but it fades rather quickly when he notices Amaimon.
"I see you actually made it y/n," he mutters stiffly.
I nod, "told you I would."
I head to the back of the train away from everyone else, I like it better that way. Amaimon and I sit and wait for the others to board, I'm excited and slightly terrified to be on a mission. What if I can't do it...?
"Y/n," Amaimon mutters poking me.
"Huh?" I am pulled back to reality as he continues to poke my arm.
"We are being disturbed," he growls quietly.
I frown looking up to find Rin on his way back to us, "hey y/n!"
Amaimon tenses up, jeez do they hate each other, "hey Rin," I smile at him.
He stops dead in his tracks as Amaimon actually gives a small wave, "woah whys he's here!"
"He's with me, it's fine," I smile more hoping to avoid a fight.
"Oh.... alright....." Rin frowns but thankfully he must know I don't want any trouble between them as he sits down, "Do you guys mind if I sit back here?"
"Go away," Amaimon mumbles.
"Of course you can!" I talk over him and gently elbow his shoulder.
Rin smiles looking back at us, "so you uh, you trust him?" He looks from me to Amaimon, I see the unease in his expression.
"Yeah why wouldn't I?" I giggle a bit poking Amaimon's nose.
Rin shakes his head, he turns his attention to Yukio who starts making some big announcement about the mission, I honestly have the attention span of a tulip, so I have not a clue what he just said. The train pulls away from the station, I look out the window to watch the school fade slowly behind us.
"Amaimon, are you okay with me being an exorcist....." I mumble the question. It's been on my mind a lot since yesterday...
"I don't really care," he shrugs seeming slightly surprised by the question.
"Alright..." I sigh fiddling with my shirt bottom.
"Why do you ask?" He tilts his head.
I shrug, "just curious I guess."
"It sounds like you plan on becoming my mate," a smirk appears on his lips as I give him a cold glare.
Rin must of been eavesdropping because he snaps around to gawk at Amaimon, "what! You're soulmates?!?"
I'm not sure if my face flushes from color or turns completely red, as loud as he shouted everyone is staring at us. I panic and hide my face in Amaimon's shoulder, I hate being stared at...
"Can I see?" Rin whispers now, I slowly glance up to see him leaning over his seat excitedly.
"It's up to him," I squeak, I want to crawl into a hole and hide.
"I want you to draw a picture anyway I guess," Amaimon sighs and after a moment has his left arm in view.
I pull out my markers and my phone still embarrassed, "what do you want a picture of?"
"Hmmm a bundle of lollipops I think."
I look up a picture and do my best to draw it with their eyes burning through me, thankfully as I draw my nerves ease at least a little bit. When I'm done I put away my markers and look at Amaimon's arm, the lines show up exactly as I drew in the same slow strokes of marker.
"That is so cool!" Rin grins.
"I do like watching it," Amaimon flashes me a small smile.
I know I'm blushing now, I'm not used to compliments. Eventually Rin starts flipping through a manga book after having me draw a small picture on his wrist.
I sigh, the train ride is making me tired, I guess my sleep schedule has been out of wack to. I sink down in my seat trying to get comfortable, it doesn't seem to be an easy thing to do on a train.
I finally settle with propping my head up on my hand, I start to doze off until I smack my chin off the arm rest.
"Ouch!" I groan quietly sitting back up.
"Are you having issues?" Amaimon chuckles.
"I can't get comfy," I look sadly at Amaimon to see him snickering.
"You are in a train, they don't seem to be made for comfort," he states matter of factly.
"I know, but I can try anyway can't I?" I stick my tongue out at him.
"I have a suggestion though I doubt you will listen to me," he looks me over a sparkle in his eyes.
"Do tell," I plead with a yawn and my best possible puppy eyes.
"Lean on me rather than a plastic arm rest," he does nothing to hide his amusement.
I stare at him blankly, I never even considered that, of course I wouldn't I still really don't know much about him other than he likes candy, he gets bored quicker than I can count to ten, he's very playful when he wants to be, and him and Mephisto have some family issues.
Okay so maybe I have learned things about him, but I don't understand how, do I just pay that much attention to him or just detail in general. I think he's taken my silence as a no as he turns his head to look out the window.
I hesitantly shift so I can rest at least my head on him. He doesn't protest when I do, this is already much better than the arm rest.
I'm having an even harder time keeping my eyes open than before though, I give in after many horrific attempts to stay awake.
