I don't even know why I went to the school, because since I stepped through the door, hoping to get some education, all I got was irritation and oblivion. I couldn't hear teacher speaking about chromosomes even if I tried to, chaos of thoughts residing in my mind, disallowing some rational ideas to enter.

I sauntered off the classroom like a ghost who didn't realize he was dead. As for me, I didn't realize that I still look awful. Well, maybe I did, I just still didn't care.

I squeezed my eyes out of fatigue while I took and placed books out of my locker. Once again, when I closed it, I saw a guy behind the door of it. Seriously, why do they keep coming? It's not like I hold a milkshake inside of my locker.

This time it was Liam. A person once very dear to me, but now, obviously, we got as distant as never before.

All I did was stare at him, because my brain couldn't produce more proper gesture.

"H-Hey." He croaked out, looking really nervous, gripping the straps of his backpack.

I nodded faintly. "Hi."

"How are you?" He asked again, knuckles tightening on the straps even more.

I didn't want to be rude, but I couldn't believe he was asking me that. I didn't know how much he knew, but all I did was glare at him with an emptiness in my face.

"Right, sorry! It's a stupid question..."

"Liam," I started, furrowing my brows a bit while slightly blinking. "Why are you talking to me?"

Yeah, I sounded really bitchy.

This time he was the one who furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean why? You're my best friend."

I chuckled lightly. "Am I?"

"Yeah, you are." Even though he was a bit frustrated, he managed to say what was exactly on his mind, unlike me.

My look on him softened as I leaned on my locker with my back. "Sorry." I gave him a sad smile, which he returned, to my relief.

"So, uh... I kinda... I kinda heard you and Theo... Arguing..." He was cute when he was nervous and I wanted to laugh but didn't muster up much positive gut.

"Oh." I spoke in nothing more than a whisper, looking down to my shoes insensibly. Of course he heard it. He's a werewolf.

"Yeah, I... I didn't know anything, so..."

His words made me raise my head and look at him again. "You... didn't?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "It's not like everyone kept me in the loop after what I did to Scott..."

Oh, right. His actions during the Supermoon were truly unacceptable, but I understand him. He wasn't himself, and after all, I know the feeling when you're trying to be kept out of everything. That's a nasty feeling.

"Well, now you know." I muttered, feeling kind of guilty.

He shifted uncomfortably and I could see that he wanted to say something, but didn't muster up the strength. "I, uh... I think we can't choose who to –"

"I don't love him." I interrupted him, not wanting to hear a word I'm so afraid of, yet I just said it.

For about five seconds he just stared at me like a scared puppy, maybe he feared that I will shout at him for what he said, but of course I wasn't going to, so he just shrugged his shoulders again and curtly nodded his head.

"And, Liam, I'm sorry. For my recent behavior." He smiled faintly and was probably going to brush it off, but I continued speaking because I had something else to comfort him about. "I'm so sorry about Hayden..."
