"There's no way he knows what Valack's doing. Why he's so interested with her?" Stiles mused with his usual suspicious demeanor; meanwhile I still fumed with anger.

I can't believe this is actually happening right now; I can't believe that Theo and I are again right where we started – at the base of mutual distrust and irritating cheekiness.

I sighed heavily, listening to what Scott has to answer.

"He probably thinks what we're all thinking. That Lydia's got something bigger to do with this. That maybe she's the only one who can actually save us."

Unwillingly, because I don't like the idea of such responsibility weighing Lydia's shoulders alone, I realized that I think so too. It's crazy how everything has turned out. In the past we barely came through these supernatural encounters, one way or another, but now – I'm not so sure.

"She took out the whole school?" I yelped, trying not to sound so negatively surprised, and failing miserably.

"She took out the whole grid." Malia stated, her eyes stating nothing good.

"Look, I failed every single practice try." Kira whined, making Liam and Scott exchange worried glances. "This isn't going to work."

"How far can we get without the brownout?" Liam asked, trying to fix the dismal atmosphere.

"The front door." Stiles answered but it sounded more like a question.

"We're going." Scott cut our doubts off in one sentence.

"Scott, we went through boxes of light bulbs."

"It doesn't matter. You can do this."

"The key card won't work unless there is a reboot." Kira kept insisting on her failure. "And there's no reboot unless there's a brownout."

Scott stepped closer to Kira, looking at her reassuringly. "I know you can do this." He then turned back to face the rest of us, that is Liam, Stiles, Malia and me. "Anyone here thinking she can't?"

It wasn't as if everyone stated straight that it's most likely not possible, but there weren't confident faces as well. Including me...

"Not me." Liam grimaced.

"I was the one who put you in the plan." Stiles spoke his part.

Everyone came with excuses, it's time I create something too. "Kira, you are a fox. A fox that controls electricity. Of course you can do this, dammit!"

My comment seemed to elicit a small smirk from Kira, but there was still one person who hasn't spoken up. Friends and trust are a big deal in our company, but Malia is an open book most of the time, what doesn't really help, especially right now.

Everyone turned their eyes to the werecoyote, expecting some reassuring words to help the plan, more importantly, Kira's confidence.

"What?" Malia mumbled. Seriously, sometimes I wonder how she is so dense.

"I believe in you too, Kira." Stiles whispered what Malia should say.

"I'm the one who's going to be locked in an electrical room with her." When no one seemed to support her argument, she turned her face to Kira, trying to muster up some advice. "You can do it."

"You guys are all crazy. We're gonna die."

I felt the truck stop, meaning Parrish is doing some talking with the guard. Confined in the body bag I tried to remain calm and not give any vent to my anxiety, even though it was really hard when thoughts about Theo kept coming back.
