CHAPTER 5

SAFE HOUSE TURNED DOLL HOUSEMultiple hours passed. The ride to this 'safe house' was long. Sydney listened Clint's advice to Tony and took a nap herself. She was exhausted after accidentally using some part of her powers to stop Tony and Clint from more arguing without realizing it (that was, not realizing it until after it happened)
She caught everyone's attention and no one forgot that it was her.The Avengers, overjoyed to have Sydney back, didn't quite understand what she went through. No one talked to her yet- almost afraid to. Not afraid of her but afraid of what she became with HYDRA. They wanted Sydney back... but she might not be what everyone remembered her as.
When the girl awoke, she stayed put in her seat, not talking nor moving. Occasionally, she'd peer over and watch Clint flick the control buttons or watch Tony fiddle with one of the computers. Not a peep came from the other parts of the ship.
Only a couple minutes later, the Quinjet descended from the sky to land in the middle of a farm field. On the property sat a cream colored two-story colonial house with a barn in the distance.
'Huh... it looks... familiar.' Sydney thought to herself as she watched the trees come into full view next to the window.
It was a beautiful property- Sydney thought so. It wouldn't be so bad to be here for a bit."Okay, it's go time!" Clint got up from his seat and motioned Sydney to follow him out. Sydney hopped from her seat and trudged behind Clint, who took hold of his friend Natasha. The other men followed slowly behind Sydney as they walked toward the house.
Sydney ran her hand along the white picket fence, soaking it all in. Some part felt good to be here. It was quiet and serene... lovely to be here... maybe not stay here that long but was still nice to reside at for some time.
"What is this place?" Thor asked, stepping up the stairs to the porch.
"A safe house?" Tony replied, unsure himself.
"Let's hope." Clint mumbled, crossing his fingers. He made sure Sydney was to his left as he opened the door to the house.
The house...
The house seemed so familiar to Sydney... where had she seen it before?
The more she looked around the more something in her brain was telling her she lived here.
She shook her head, not believing her thoughts and followed Clint and Natasha around the corner."Honey, I'm home." Clint called out into the quiet house.
A woman, who was heavily pregnant, strolled out from the kitchen. Why did she look so familiar to Sydney as well?
Clint let go of Natasha and walked over toward the woman.
"Hi. Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead." He grinned.
