"It's an Italian place." I say as we walk into the restaurant. Wine bottles line the walls and pizza's are on display on top of a counter. It smells amazing.

"Would you liked to be seated?" The woman dressed in all black asks. Her red apron is the only color on her. Even her hair is black.

"Yes please." I smile.

The woman walks us to a booth in the corner of the room. It has fake vines with rubber grapes covering the walls. The dimmed lighting gives the restaurant a nighttime vibe.

"I'll be back to take your orders in a bit." The woman smiles and walks away.

I sit between Shawn and my dad. Next to my dad is Daisy and then my Aunt.

"This place is so pretty." Daisy says looking around. Shawn grabs my hand under the table and I blush. I swear I'm not trying to blush. This is getting ridiculous. I get flustered every time he shows me any affection. He's my boyfriend.

After we order, we start a conversation.

"So where is your first stop for the tour?" My dad asks Shawn.

"Toronto, its my home town so we're starting there." Shawn says and rips off a piece of bread.

"Your Canadian?" My dad asks. Shawn nods.

"Where are you going that you haven't been to before?" He asks. Why is my dad so interested in my boyfriend's life.

"We're going to Tokyo. I've never even been to Asia." Shawn smiles, sneaking a glance at me. He knows my mom and brother are in Tokyo.

"Thats amazing." My dad says and takes a huge bite out of his pizza.

"Dad?" I begin. He looks up at me and waits for me to speak.

"Did you have a friend while you were stationed, he has a son named Aaron?" I ask.

"Oh yeah! How do you know him?" He asks, he looks past me like he's remembering good memories with his friend.

"His son is in my support group." I smile and take a bite of pasta. My dad suddenly starts choking violently on his food. A waitress looks like she's about to get help but I shake my head and she calms down and walks away.

"Support group?" He chokes out.

"Oh yeah, Aunt June put me into support group." I shrug.

"For what?" He asks my Aunt.

"She was acting out and I figured it was because she didn't have her parents around." My aunt says calmly.

"You were supposed to be her parent. She isn't depressed, she's a teenager." My dad rolls his eyes. He's never really liked Aunt June. She's my mom's sister. My Aunt just huffs and stabs her pasta with a fork.

Shawn's thumb strokes the top of my hand under the table. I lean into him instantly for comfort. Daisy's head snaps toward us as I lean into him. She knows we're dating but I don't think she's ever seen us together. It must be weird, to see your cousin cuddled up to a famous singer. I just ignore her as she looks away like nothing happened.

"Anyways, when's the winter formal, Daisy?" My Aunt asks her.

"Next weekend." Daisy says before looking down and twirling her straw in her drink.

"Oh dang it, sorry I can't be here for that Roni." My dad frowns at me.

"Oh I'm not going." I shrug.

"Why not?"

"I don't want to." I chucked lightly.

"Why didn't Shawn ask you?" Daisy asks.

"We only just started dating. And he isn't even in high school." I roll my eyes. He probably wouldn't want to go anyways.

The rest of dinner goes pretty smoothly. We mostly talk about how my mom is doing in Japan. Apparently my brother made a friend with a boy from London. The boy had recently moved to Tokyo with his mom for the same reason.

After dinner, my dad goes back to his hotel and Shawn comes home with my Aunt, Daisy and I. Daisy goes straight to her room and my Aunt June shuffles into her office to do some late night work. Shawn and I go into my room and collapse onto my bed.

I don't know when I feel asleep but I wake up with the morning sun shining on my face. Shawn's arm is draped over my waist and his leg is thrown over my own.

I wiggle out of his embrace and walk to my mirror. It's Sunday so we can probably just put on sweatpants and watch Netflix all day. Shawn frowns and reaches his arm out. His fingers open and close before he retracts his hand. His expression is confused before he opens his eyes. He looks at me standing across the room.

"When did you get up?" He asks. I'm guessing that hand thing he did was him reaching for me.

"Just a second ago." I say and run my fingers through my short hair. It's still a bit long, I need to get it cut.

"Oh."

He sits up and uses his hands to support himself from behind. I quickly look away when I realize he's shirtless.

"Shawn where did your shirt go."

I blush when I see his reflection in the mirror. I could look away but I find myself in awe. I just stare at his bare chest as he breathes in and out.

"It was really hot in here last night." He chuckles nervously and tries to cover his chest. He's definitely not insecure, I've seen the photo shoot pictures. I think he's just doing it because I look uncomfortable.

I turn around and sit on the bed next to him, not looking at his torso. If I take one look at him I will pounce. I would hate to be a fan girl that could see all these sexy pictures and never do a thing about it.

"Shawn I love you." I say. We've said it plenty of times before, but each time it's special in a different way.

"I love you too." I can hear the smile in his voice.

I reach over and grab his chin, pulling his face towards mine. I connect our lips and his hand immediately goes to my waist. His other hand stays behind him for support as he leans back slightly.

I make the mistake of placing my hand on his stomach. I can feel the outline of his abs. I get a jolt of courage and swing my leg over him to straddle his lap. We deepen the kiss.

We make out for a while before there's a knock on the door. Shawn's still shirtless and I'm in a bra and pajama pants. Our eyes turn towards the door and watch as it slowly turns. I'd be running to put a shirt on if I knew it was someone other than Daisy. My Aunt never enters my room without my permission.

"I know you guys are making out or whatever but I need a sharpie." She asks, looking straight at me. She's seen me in a bra before, it isn't awkward.

"Um yeah in my desk drawer, why?"

"My friend Heather is making me draw cat whiskers on my nose again. Just because she loves Dan and Phil, doesn't mean I have to." Daisy rolls her eyes and leaves the room with a sharpie.

"Hey! Be nice to Phans! Your living with one!" I tell after her. She groans and locks the door behind her.

I climb off of Shawn's lap and I pull the laptop over. We spend the rest of the day re-watching American Horror Story, season one.
