Eleven

After the party is over, Jade and Alex leave first. They say they want to have dinner together before the night is over. I respect that because I could care less if anyone even showed up today.

Reggie goes home with Thalia later on. They are laughing about something as they walk out the door. I really hope he can cheer her up from what recently happened.

"Bye Dylan." I dismiss him. He furrows his eye brows and looks at Shawn who still hasn't left.

"Bye Roni." He says. I guess he didn't think the argument was worth it. Smart choice. He leaves the apartment and I sigh.

"I didn't know you had a boyfriend." Shawn starts.

"Oh I know." I look down.

"He's a jerk." Shawn mumbles.

"I know." I say quietly.

"I'm gonna get going but happy birthday, again." He tells me.

"Thanks." I say and pull my jacket sleeves over my hands.

"Roni." He states. I look up at him for him to continue but he just stares at me.

"Good night." He says and leaves my apartment. I hate that I'm so intrigued you Shawn. I don't know if it's curiosity or attraction but I need to stop it right now. I have a boyfriend. I can't go around liking other people. He would never do that to me.

I go to bed right after Shawn leaves. I'm exhausted and I have school tomorrow.

Waking up for school the next morning is awful. I roll out of bed with my eyes closed and hit my foot on the bed frame. I curse under my breath and look at the bruise forming on my ankle.

"Daisy!" I yell.

"What?" She asks coming into my room. She starts to laugh when she sees me sitting on the floor holding my foot with half of my hair in a knotty bun.

"I need coffee. ASAP please." I tell her mad shoo her out of my room after that. She comes back 20 minutes later with a mug of coffee in her hands. Now I'm dressed and my hair is brushed. I'm not quite awake but that's what the coffee is for.

I get to school on time and sit down in first period. Thalia comes in and sits down next to me in silence. Reggie enters the class and sits in front of Thalia like he does everyday.

"You guys are so gloomy." He pouts.

"I'm tired." I complain.

"I'm just done with school and life in general." Thalia says and opens her notebook. We both look at her with frowns but she doesn't do anything else.

"Anyways, what are you guys doing this weekend?" I ask them.

"I don't know. I think my friend Matt wanted to go to the museum so those are my plans." Reggie explains.

"I'm just gonna watch Netflix." Thalia shrugs. "I'm re-watching Grey's." She adds. We both nod and write down the warm up.

"I think I have plans with Shawn." I say. He said something about a Halloween party on the 30th so I think we're going together. As friends of course.

"Oh awesome what are you being for Halloween?" Thalia asks me.

"Nothing?" I say. I used to be really into getting dressed up but now that I'm older the spark has died.

"Same." She says with a nod and a half smile.

The school day goes quickly and so does the rest of the week. Before I know it, it's Friday and I'm talking to Reggie outside of school. We're waiting for Thalia to walk out of the building.

"Hey guys!" She says from behind us. She puts her arms around our shoulders even though she's only 5'3 and Reggie is literally a giant.

"I'm gonna tell her. I can't wait any longer." Reggie says out loud. Thalia heard him but she has no idea what he's talking about. My eyes go wide and I'm about to tell him to wait until the right time. He grabs Thalia's hands and looks her straight in the eyes.

People are walking around us, going home from work and school. Reggie is about to admit his feelings towards Thalia in the middle of the sidewalk.

"I'm in love with you Thalia." He sighs. Her eyes go wide and her jaw drops. I think she's going to slap him for a second before she slams her lips into his.

"Gotta blast." I say and walk fast in the direction of my apartment. I'm smiling the whole way home. That was so adorable. I'll be happy for the rest of my life because of that.

"Why are you smiling like an idiot?" Daisy asks me when I walk through the door.

"My best friends just proclaimed their undying love for each other." I say skipping to the kitchen. All this happiness makes me kind of hungry. I grab a cold piece of pizza and start to eat it. I actually hate cold pizza but I'm too lazy to heat it up.

"That's great, did you also fix global warming and save all the pandas?" She asks me. I roll my eyes before replying.

"Um actually the pandas are saved. They're not an endangered species anymore! Can you believe that? Pandas really do slay life." I say and walk to my room.

I get a text from Dylan when I enter my room.

Dylan- hey babe ;)

Roni- hi?

Dylan- oh sorry.

Roni- why are you sorry?

I wait a couple minutes for him to reply. This is the second time he's done this.

Dylan- because I never call you babe haha..

Roni- yeah that's funny.

He never replies. I just like he's a flop that can't text. I have the rest of the night and tomorrow to myself so I decide to have a 'me' day. Well two 'me' days. I have the party with Shawn on Sunday.

I take out a bath bomb that I've had for like a year. I never take baths so I never used it but now I can. I pick out a random book from my shelf and start running the water for my bath.

Once the bath is filled, I throw in the pink and blue bath bomb. It makes the water a lilac purple. I step into the warm bath and start to read my book. It's relaxing and calming. I've needed a relaxing day for a long time. I've been so stressed lately with the move to New York and Dylan being so weird.

When I've finished 5 chapters of my book, I get out of the bath and head back to my room. I put on a fave mask and lay down in my robe for about 30 minutes. When the mask is dry, I peel it off and my skin feels soft and refreshed.

I don't know what else to do so I just throw on a huge shirt and climb into bed. It used to be my dads but he gave it to me before he left. It was gigantic on me then, and it still is oversized.
