The party is really casual when we get there. Usually the parties I go to have lots of alcohol and loud music. This party has some
Music but to a volume where you don't have to yell. Some people have red cups but it seems all the people under 21 aren't drinking at all.I see a boy with the same hair as Reggie, dark brown and curly, standing in the kitchen. He has a cheap paper birthday hat on his head. I walk into the kitchen and poke his shoulder. He turns around and looks confused.
"I'm Reggie's friend." I tell him. He nods in realization. "Happy Birthday." I add before an hand grabs my arm.
"I think they're playing truth or dare." Jade says and pulls my arm to a circle of teenagers.
Reggie is one of the people in the circle but the two other girls are no where to be seen. A couple people answer truths but so far no one has said dare.
"Hey you. Truth or Dare?" Someone asks looking directly at me.
"Oh dare?" I answer.
"Yay! Kiss him!" The girl exclaims pointing at Reggie. Clearly no one has chose dare yet and she got way too excited.
"I have a boyfriend." I chuckle as Reggie looks flustered.
"Awe no fun. Go to the balcony and yell 'I smell like cheese'?" She suggests.
"What the hell? That's so random?" I say laughing. She shrugs as I walk to the balcony.
"I SMELL LIKE CHEESE!!" I shout as loud as I can.
"SAME!!" I here screamed from the street. I start to laugh and soon the whole group is laughing. It's such a weird thing to scream off a building. We're only on the 3rd floor though so we're very close to the street.
"Truth or dare Reggie?" I ask him because he's the only one I know.
"Truth."
I roll my eyes at his answer but think of a question anyways.
"You like anyone?" I ask. I already know the answer but I want him to admit it.
"Yeah?" He questions slightly as his cheeks get pink.
"Who?" I whisper loudly so every one could here. He rolls his eyes but leans towards my ear anyway and whispers the name into my ear.
"Tha-" he starts before we here giggling approach us.
"We're gonna take her home, she found the alcohol." Jade says referring to a drunk Thalia. Alex nods in agreement and they leave the apartment.
"Yeah I should get going too."
I say and stand up. Reggie nods and I leave the building.I walk down the street and take a few turns from memory. I somehow end up on a street I've never been on so I try to cut through a gap between two buildings but I just end up in an alley. I look around confused and a bit scared.
It's dark and oddly quiet back here despite being in the middle of a major city. I am clearly lost so I just start to walk down the alleyway. I hear a large door open and voices so I turn around and make my way to the open door. Maybe they have directions for me?
"Um hey do you know-" I start before they look at me like I'm a criminal.
"What did I do?" I say immediately.
"How did you get back here?" A guy asks and approaches me.
"Um I'm sorry is this like top secret? You guys are spy's right? I'm just lost. Please don't kill me." I rant slightly.
"We aren't spy's, we thought you were a fan." He sighs.
"A fan? A fan of the government? If I'm supposed to say yes to that then... Yah sure." I say backing up a little.
"No. A fan of Shawn Mendes. He's coming out here soon." He says looking irritated.
"Oh phew." I say and release the tension that I felt.
"There he is, you better not be lying." He says and points to me. A boy walks out of the door laughing.
"Who's she? How'd she get back here?" He asks a body guard, I'm assuming.
"She's not a fan, she just got lost." The man tells him.
"Does anyone know where xx street is?" I ask, jumping into the conversation.
(AN: I didn't want to include a street so you get xx)
"No." A man says harshly and Shawn glares at him.
"We can help you." Shawn says.
"We have to go." They say and Shawn grunts before climbing into the black van. They drive off and I eventually find my way out of the alley.
When I get home it's almost 2 am and I'm not looking forward to school or work tomorrow.
