Minho punched the Rat Man in the face. How could they do this? He had hated the shuck traitor but what now? She had her reasons to do what she did. He wished he could have saved her. He saw Brenda's smile when Thomas had said Teresa's name, which certainly meant that she knew something. How could she have smiled while watching someone get shoot in front of her.
He looked at her now, and saw how she looked at Thomas kneeling to help Teresa. A look of disgust on her face.
He shot forward and punched her as well. He hit target and heard her nose break under his powerful fist.
Thomas turned, he left Teresa on the ground. "What the hell, Minho?" he screamed and went towards Brenda. "What are you doing?" He put his hands on her face to keep her still so that the blood flow will slow down.
Minho watched disgusted as Teresa and Brenda's blood mixed in Thomas's fingers.
"Are you shucking blind, Thomas? You saw what she did, it's her fault that Teresa died in front of us." Minho shouted.
Brenda started crying. Thomas was all over her. "Are you okay?" he said to her.
Minho felt disgusted how Teresa has just died and her body was just inches away and Thomas was acting like a stupid shank.
He left him there. Newt approached him. "I think we were wrong with poor Teresa. That bloody Brenda has done it. Did you see her face when they shot Teresa? She knew it was gonna happen." He went to Teresa and knelt beside her. He felt for her pulse. He looked up and shacked his head.
It was too late. They didn't understand her.
Minho was now sure that she had been right all along. She had done what she had in the Scorch because she wanted to save Thomas. He felt angry with himself for not understanding and calling her a traitor. She was a warrior.
And Thomas still left her there on the cold floor.
But Minho saw the truth in her eyes when she died.
It was too late now.
He could not say sorry to her.
But there was one thing he could do.
Wipe Brenda's name from the earth.
Only then Teresa would forgive him, he knew that.
Kill Brenda.
