CHAPTER THIRTY

"Thomas" Teresa whispered.

Thomas stopped dead when he saw Minho and Teresa.

And Teresa...her head. her hair...

"Teresa...I...are you okay?" he asked running towards them. Teresa slowly got to her feet but Minho held her still.

Thomas reached her and took her hand in his own and looked at her. He was such a jerk for letting all of this to happen.

Teresa took a sharp breath but she promised herself she will not cry over him. Not anymore.

Thomas was not worth it. He did not deserve her.

Teresa jerked her hand away and Thomas's eyes widened at that act.

She moved behind Minho so that now Thomas was facing his friend.

Minho looked him in the eye "You were the one who didn't want to come save her." he said. "Now stay away from her."

Teresa hugged Minho from behind. "Stay away from me Thomas" she said.

That felt like a slap in the face but Thomas knew that it was his fault.

Brenda moved to him and hugged him. "Thank for saving me Thomas" she said to him. He hugged her back "I'll be always there for you" he said.

Minho looked at them disgusted. He was disgusted at Thomas.

He felt Teresa's hands on his waist and let out his breath slowly. He turned towards her and looked her in the eyes. He so much wanted to kiss her. He moved closer...

Newt jumped in front of them and said "What the bloody hell is going on?"

"Teresa are you alright?" he asked holding her hand. She nodded to him.

He averted his eyes from her head as he knew that it must be already hard enough for her.

"Guys...they did something to me..." he continued. "I mean I don't feel like going crazy anymore. I think the cure...it worked." he looked at Teresa again.

It made sense. They had taken her brain cells and given them to him as an experiment. And it had worked.

"Those WICKED bastards are going to pay for this, Teresa! I would have rather bloody died than let them hurt you to save me."

"I am not hurt" Teresa said "I am fine. And I am glad I saved you."

Thomas was still looking at Teresa. He was worried.

"Shut it Thomas" Minho said. "Stop staring at her"

Thomas looked away.

Teresa was glad that Minho was by her side. She never realized before...but this boy cared for her.

She understood that now was the time to stop chasing after Thomas and start caring for someone who cared for her.

Start caring for Minho. He was hers.
