CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

Everyone in the room went quite. After all it made sense.

Brenda acted like crazy so it wasn't a surprise at all.

Janson looked disappointed at their reaction, he clearly expected them to not know.

"Well then" he said "I've had enough of all this. And with all of you. So now I'm going to kill you with my own hands."

Brenda passed him the gun an he started firing blindly. People started to fall.

Thomas knew he had to do something fast. It seemed stupid. Janson and Brenda were only in two while they were more than fifty together.

He advanced towards Janson.

Janson pointed the gun at his chest.

"You can't kill me" Thomas shouted at him. He was angry for everything that had happened to them.

He punched Janson in the head and the bullet that flew from his gun hit Thomas in the shoulder. He didn't feel any pain.

He had felt worse than this. With a punch he made his gun fly on the floor.

It fell by Teresa and she picked it up but she was scared to hit Thomas instead of Janson.

They fought hard. Thomas angry and Janson half mad.

"Stop" Brenda screamed suddenly.

Thomas looked at her, she had a gun of her own.

"Thomas...I really wanted to keep you by my side...I...I" Brenda said.

She was clearly gone out of her mind. The disease had spread in her wildly.

Thomas hated her so much.

Brenda's hand trembled as she hit the trigger but she missed Thomas only by an inch.

She got near to him and pointed the gun on his head. "I wanted to keep you. Please come with me?" she said.

Thomas looked at her. "Never." he said.

Brenda screamed and fired again but this time not at Thomas. At Teresa.

She missed again.

Teresa looked at her. "Die" she said.

Then, with the gun she held in her hand, Teresa fired and hit Brenda on the chest.

On her heart, so that it would stop beating. She felt sorry for her but Brenda didn't deserve to live after what she did.

Blood started coming out of Brenda's mouth and she fell.

Teresa sighed and let the gun fall on the floor.

Brenda was dead.

Teresa had killed Brenda
