Soldiers entered the room.
In a few second all of the room is quiet again as everyone is captured by the men wearing green suits and holding guns. Thomas and Brenda are standing next to each other with five soldiers pointing their guns in their face. Thomas wants to struggle but he doesn't see a way out.
He looks at Teresa's body on the floor. She is not going to come back. He wants to cry, to stay with her. Lay down and let everything go. Once and for all.
Then he looks at Brenda and realizes that he still has something to live for.

Breath. Breath. Breath.
That was the only thing that Teresa was thinking. She hadn't passed out yet.
She wanted to live. Desperately.
But there was so much pain. Unbearable pain, but she knew she had to keep fighting. Dying like an insignificant animal was the last thing she wanted.

She could taste blood in her mouth and she knew that no one was going to anything about her. Everyone hated her and now she was dead to them. That was a relief to everyone, she thought.
The room was quiet all of a sudden and she didn't know if it was that all of her friends, or what she thought were friends, had left her or if it was that she was leaving the world slowly, with white noise filling her ears.
She opened her eyes slowly, but everything was black. She heard someone pick her up. It wasn't Thomas, she could feel it.
She wanted to cry out to Thomas.
Please Thomas don't let them hurt me.
Don't let me go.
