THREE MONTHS LATER

That day Teresa was near the Flat Trans building when she sensed that something was happening.

Then a knock came from that wooden building and every single head near it turned and everyone held their breath.

Who could it possibly be?

Teresa thought she had been crazy to let the Flat Trans's building up after they came out of it. She should have burned it straight after that.

Now, when finally everything was at peace again, there it was. Someone unknown knocking on the door.

Newt came running towards her.

"What should we do, now?" Newt asked, "Who could it be?"

Teresa could sense the hope in his words and she nodded towards the small window.

Newt cautiously got close to it and looked inside.

When he didn't move, Teresa went and stood near him to see what was inside.

She understood why Newt couldn't move. She herself couldn't speak.

Minho...

He was alive. Alive and grinning on the on the side of the window like an idiot.

They couldn't believe that Minho had made it. It had been so long and all their hope was lost and this seemed like a miracle to them all.

Minho had told them that after they left him he had lost consciousness until waking up alone in a room where he had met doctor Ava Paige. She had cured him and helped him to reach them.

Teresa was really confused. She had asked Minho the reason why Ava herself hadn't come with him. Minho explained that Ava Paige had the flare herself.

She was infected and she said she was going to end herself as soon as Minho were out of that mess.

By now she was probably already gone.

That evening Minho headed towards Teresa's small wooden house. He knocked and she opened.

She seemed sad looking at him.

"Hey" he said grinning.

"Hey" Teresa said weakly.

Then he stood there and finally after what seemed an eternity he rolled his eyes and said "Are you going to make me stand here for all night?" he said.

"Uhm...sorry. Please come inside." Teresa said opening the door wider

Minho went whistling.

"So" he said "I came to talk to you because the last time I tried to tell you something a stone literally half killed me."

Teresa smiled at his sarcasm. Minho was back for real.

But she still felt guilty. He had nearly died because of her and the last words he had spoken to her had pierced her heart.

Teresa continued to look at him, waiting.

"No no" Minho said "stop looking at me like that. I know you are dreaming about my abs right now." he flipped his hair, "You can tell me how sexy I am."

Teresa burst laughing out loud.

Then Minho's expression got serious "So" he said "what I want to say now is the same thing that I wanted to say to you the last time we met."

Teresa waited. She knew. I only ever cared for...

Minho looked her straight in the eye "I only ever cared for..." he started "I only ever cared for you as a sister."

Teresa's eyes widened. It seemed like a dream. In the past months she had stayed away from Thomas because she thought that it would be like going against Minho's memory.

But now he was standing there. Alive. And he was telling her that he had loved her as a sister.

"Hey" Minho tried to hide behind the small bed, "I told you to stop staring at me. I know I am perfect."

Teresa laughed and hugged her new brother.

*******************************************

Teresa ran up the green hill. It was night but she knew that Thomas was there.

She reached the spot and saw his silhouette staring at the sea.

"Thomas" she whispered.

He turned.

"Teresa" he said.

Teresa didn't wait for him to speak further and she ran to him and hugged him tight.

He hugged her tighter and whispered her name as if he couldn't believe that she was real.

"Thomas" Teresa whispered in his ear "I love you".

Thomas's heart nearly stopped hearing those words.

He had waited on that spot for her to come back.

He kissed her and everything was perfect again.

"I only ever cared for you, Teresa." He whispered.

The moon shined in the dark sky and the blue water continued to flow slowly in the river.

Everything was finally quiet in a way that was bearable for everyone.

Not that tipe of quite that makes people sad but the quiet that make people think.

Think of everything that had been, but most of all of all those brilliant things that awaited them.

Life was a long journey, and that night Thomas and Teresa swore they will be together no matter what.

Always.
