CHAPTER THIRTY - FIVE

Just when Teresa's eyesight started to blur and dark spots started appearing she heard a loud bang and she dropped on the floor.

She impulsively put a hand on her neck, finally able to breath again.

Brenda's happy smile was replaced by a horrible expression as she watched Minho who kicked Thomas on the back.

Brenda wanted to stop him but she knew that Minho was too strong for her. She never would have admitted but she was scared of Minho. Especially because she knew that he loved Teresa and would have killed anyone who harmed her.

She touched her nose remembering the time when he had punched her in the face without hesitation. So Brenda backed away and without anyone noticing she ran through the corridor, or what was left of the corridor after the explosions which had suddenly stopped, and out of the room.

Teresa was still on the ground when Minho came to her and held her. "I am so sorry he did that to you." He whispered in her ear. "I am going to break this slinthead's head right now.".

He kissed her on the head and got to his feet.

Thomas was still not in control of his body. He hated himself for hurting Teresa.

He hated himself.

He was glad that Minho had stopped him before he could do anything serious.

He wanted Minho to kill him right there so that he would stop being controlled. He would have rather died than to hurt anyone anymore.

Minho looked at him and without saying a word he punched Thomas right in the face. Thomas's body acted but Thomas himself didn't do anything.

He just waited. He wanted Minho to end all of this. Then he could have taken Teresa out of this mess and they could have had a nice life together.

He trusted that Minho would have protected her with his life always.

Thomas would have done the same if he was himself. WICKED had ruined everything.

Minho kicked and punched him again and again until Teresa managed to get to her feet and stopped him.

"Minho please stop this!" she said taking him by his arms. Minho stopped and looked at her.

"Teresa...he did that to you." he said looking back at Thomas's bloody face.

"It wasn't him." Teresa said.

"What?" Minho snapped his face at her.

"Right before he grabbed me he said that he didn't know what was going on." Teresa explained. "I think that WICKED is controlling him. We know that they can do that."

Minho got up and let go of Thomas without saying anything.

He understood what she meant.

He was about to say something when Newt joined them running from the same door that Brenda had gone out of.

"There you are you bloody shanks" he said, then he stopped and looked first at Thomas's face then at Minho's bloody knuckles.

"I see you've been having fun" he said to Minho. "Just what the bloody hell happened?"

Minho explained him. Newt nodded seriously.

"Are you alright, Teresa?" he asked her and Teresa nodded.

"So what did you guys find?" she asked him.

"It's called Paradise" Newt said with his eyes shining with hope "And it is a place where we can start a new life all together."
