There was a request from someone for a story like this. So here we go :)

*This is extra short but I don't want to delete it and I don't recall where I was originally taking this, lol, sorry... But it's something

Vacations... Something Percy recalled on so warmly while Annabeth despised thinking back to the trips she took with her dad and stepmother as a little girl. Vacations became something totally else though... They went to Europe for their honeymoon and not to forget their date in Paris. They travelled around the states a few times and regularly visited Montauk, New Rome, but this was the first time Victoria would be fully present and in on the decisions. She just turned three, her parents twenty one, and the bunch looked as good as ever as they plopped their suitcases down and dropped exhausted on the couch in their apartment.
Annabeth's glaring at the wall spoke volumes.
"I'm dead... I am positively deceased and currently crossing to the fields of-" A tremor through the ground signalled that dear old Persephone was having none of that talk. She fancied them enough to remember Victoria's birthday and send a gift over and the young parents supposed it was good for their child to have allies wherever one could. "O-K... Well who's feeling like raiding the food bar and getting high on ice cream?"
The screams of joy coming from the child could wake anyone.
"I want chocolate. Strawberry... And Blue!!!" The child was bursting with excitement. Grandma Sally had told her she could eat all the ice cream after all. "Blue is my favorite mommy." She jumped into Annabeth's arms, the blonde groaned a little, knees dug into her stomach.
"How you two get so energized just from the thought of ice cream is a mystery to me." She got up, the child in hand. "Off we go."
And so they bribed the kid to eat a semi decent meal before devouring a tub of various gelatos and toppings.
Annabeth just prayed the girl had the same resilience to keep ice-cream down like Percy did because she sure wasn't cleaning that up.

It was as they were strolling down the beach that she realized family vacations weren't bad after all, it just depended who you traveled with... Especially when you paid extra for your child to have a separate room but they decided privacy wasn't a thing. Annabeth couldn't complain though, she snuggled up to little Victoria as Percy held her tight too.

Vacations were good.
