~Courtship~

Irene's P.O.V.

"Unnie" I furrowed my brows when I suddenly felt someone tapping my cheeks as I was still fast asleep, from what I remember today is saturday so there's no need for Wendy nor Jade to wake me up.

"What?" I asked as I furrowed my brows once I finally opened my eyes and saw Wendy sitting besde me, she was trying to check if I'm already awake. But once I saw her looking at me, I closed my eyes again and slept.

"Wake up unnie!" Before I could even sleep further, Wendy shooked me again and shouted again.

"It's still early in the morning Wendy, what do you want?" I asked, getting slightly irritated. I still need to sleep so I could charge my energy since it's very tiring in school but then they kept on waking me up every day?

"It's not me who wants something! It's someone at the living room now wake up or Jared will splash a bucket full of water at you" I rolled my eyes when I heard that, is it that urgent? He can just enter my room and wait for me to wake up.

"What does he want with me?" I asked irritated, he's not usually commanding me to do anything, instead he'll leave me be. So I was really wondering why he wants to talk to me urgently to the point that he can't wait for me to wake up, instead, he asked Wendy to wake me up. So I went to the staircase already getting ready to shout at Jared for ruining my sleep, I got down only to see someone I'm not clearly expecting.

"Good morning Irene" He smiled at me once he saw me walking down the stairs, he was sitting at our couch beside Jared who was smiling very widely at me as if he knows what's happening between Slater and I.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, almost frozen on my spot at the staircase when I saw him holding a bouquet of flowers on his hand. Jared walked closer to me at the staircase and gave Slater as slight smile.

"Change your clothes and take a bath, you need to go somewhere" Jared ordered me, he NEVER EVER did that to me, so seeing him commanding me.

"And where exactly am I going? And with who?" I asked

"Why do you ask so many questions? Wendy, take her upstairs" Jared ordered Wendy and the girl followed him.

"What the heck are you doing to me?" I asked as Wendy pulled me towards my room.

"Jared told me to take you here and tell you to wash up, now"

"Since when did you ever follow Jared's orders?"

"Since when did you ever starts asking thousand questions?"

"Don't you dare talk back at me like that, I'm older than you" I uttered in which Wendy returns a hair flip.

"Just wash up immediately!"

"Took you long enough" Jared said as I slowly walked down from the staircase, Slater wasn't in our living room anymore. I hope he already left but the bouquet he was holding earlier was on top of the table.

"Where are we going?" I asked Jared, he looked at Wendy before he turned his head to the door.

"Enter his car first" I widened my eyes when I opened the door and saw Slater's car outside.

"Are you serious?! You're going to let him take me somewhere without you?" I walked closer to Jared and asked him in confusion.

"How old are you Irene? Why are you even worried about being alone with Slater?" Jared asked as he whispered on my ear, he doesn't want Slater to know that I'm a bit getting uncomfortable around him since the door is wide open and Slater could easily see what's happening insie.

"Because I don't know him"

"You know him Irene, you worked with him for 3 consecutive years. Why are you acting like he's total stranger?" I furrowed my eyes at his point, I don't know what he's planning to do.

"You know what happened to him, at least listen to him once again. Slater already had a hard time reviving himself, let him prove that he is starting to move on" I was caught off guard at his statement, sure the both of us are talking at each other but not this serious and not about Slater. It seems like he was pleading. I looked at Slater as he just waited patiently at me as he leaned on his car, something is definitely wrong.

The ride towards our desination was very silent and all, I never talked to him but I must say he was trying hard to open up a conversation with me. I came with him not because Jared asked me to, I came because I wanted to know what's happening to him. He then stopped the car only to find myself at a forrest, I followed Slater as he kept on walking ahead of me. Once he finally stopped walking, I stared ahead  of me and saw a very beautiful lake in front of me. I looked at Slater as he smiled at me and slowly sat on the ground, since I don't know what to do, I  just sat beside him and stared at the beautiful view. No one dares to speak so we just sat there silently, side by side.

"Can I court you?"  Then out of the blue, he suddenly uttered those words. I looked at him in shock as I tried processing what he wants to say, is he playing with me or he's just trying to tell me that just to have a conversation with him?

"What are you saying?" I furrowed my brows and stared at him, he better not be telling me this just because he wants to talk to me.

"I want you as my girlfriend" I froze

"Isn't this too fast? I mean we've only met thrice and now you wanted to court me? Is this some joke?" I asked as I stared at him, I don't know what's happening in his mind right now but I guess he kept on surprising me every now and then.

"If ever you're seiing your ex in me please stop it, I'm not comfortable with that, you can stare at me whenever you want but please don't rush me." I uttered as I stood up from the ground and entered his car, I stared at him as he shooked his head, he was still sitting on the same spot we were earlier. I don't know what's happening to him, but I wish... I hope I could cope up with him.
