~Weird Question~

Slater's P.O.V.

I sat still completely on the couch as I keep on hearing the door bell ringing like crazy as the impatient man stood behind the door, after a few minutes once that I know that he got tired of pushing the doorbell I stood up and welcomed him warmly.

"Why didn't you open the door fast? My hand is already hurting you know?" Jared said while giving me all the paper bags he bought which I'm guessing is full of foods since I either invite him here for a game or if I want to eat with someone because I'm lonely. I didn't want to bother Irene today because she and her sisters are out at a mall, probably going to catch up once again.

"I'm not the one who told you to buy food and have lunch here. The only thing I want you to do is come here to my house and have a game with me" I uttered as Jared collapsed on the couch as if he owns the house, sometimes I really need to give him a bit knowledge when I know that he doesn't have one.

"Am I the only friend you have? Why do you always call me whenever you're feeling hyped?" Now he's complaining? Well, I have a very good friend here everyone, if you'd want to be his friend fell free to come and take him away from me.

"Let's just preheat these foods later, for sure you're still not that hungry" I placed the paper bags on the table not planning to eat anything first as I just had my breakfast earlier and for sure Jared just also had his meal, he's getting a but chubby these days which made me and Wendy happy.

"How's Irene?" Jared scoofed once I sat beside him on the couch while still playing the basketball I have in my hand, the dribbling sounds is making me excited again.

"Did you ask me to come here because you're bored or because you want me to tell you stories and facts about my sister?"

"Can't it be both? Besides, I missed my friend also" He looked at me with a face like he's saying that I've lost my mind and that he also feels offended at the questions he asked earlier.

"Let's just play one game, raise to 30. I don't want to get sweaty today, if I win you'll have to leave me alone in terms of knowing everything about Irene" He proposed, I thought he doesn't want to tell me something about her sister? Then now he wants to make a bet? Well, some sense and cheekiness knocked in his mind.

"Call, but if I win, you have to tell me something very important to Irene" Jared stood up and even was the first one to walk inside my own basketball court at the back yard, he surely knows almost everything about me already. Our gane started as we surely don't know what 'lose' means.

"Wow, you sure are still fast Jared" I complimented but sorry to let him know, I still won by 4 points. We didn't set any time limits, it's just raise to 30 so our game was easily finished after maybe half an hour.

"So what do you want to know about Irene more" Jared passed me the ball using the ground pass and sat on the bench I placed on the opposite side, it's near to the door where we can enter the living room again.

"Forget it, I just want to have a nice conversation and game with you" I smiled and also took a seat beside him, he handed me a bottle of water in which we both gladly took the time to have a rest and breath properly again.

"Don't regret not asking anything from me" Jared spoke in which I just smiled, he seems to have something very important to tell me but he looks like he's still contemplating if he wouldn't tell me...

"Don't worry, I won't" I spoke and rested my back on the glasswall behind me, the court I designed have a green house inspired roof, there were lights connected on some areas but I don't usually use it when it's very bright and sunny outside.

"Slater" I turned my head to Jared as the serious look in his face came back, actually I'm more scared to see Jared being too gloomy and serious rather than seeing a horror movie at night. There's a more like horror vibe and aura coming from Jared which made me a bit confused on what I'm thinking.

"If ever, Irene also has the same ailment as Heather, will you still love her?"

"What kind of question is that? Irene is perfectly healthy and I can see that" I was caught off guard with his question that I even forgot how to respond at the slightest second, Jared seems to be acting more creepy as time passes by. But then he wouldn't ask me such question if something isn't bothering him...

"What's with that question?" Jared shooked his head before smiling, he seems like he's crazy with the sudden change of mood like that. H didn't answer my first question so I asked him again, but as more time pass by, he's getting a bit more creepy...

"I was just curious of what your reaction would be, you don't need to worry too much because of my sudden question" Jared patted my back as he walked inside the living room with a strange aura, something tells me that there's something wrong... Jared wouldn't ask me something like that especially if it's about Irene and is also concerning me.
