~Girlfriend?~

Irene's P.O.V.

I smiled when Slater made a shot and the ball got inside the ring, I felt happy and excited knowing that Jared and his team won! Wendy and Jade on the other hand kept on taunting me about flirting with Slater while he was still in the court and the game was still on going, she also said this, and I quote "It's you who doesn't even want to attend here because you said it's boring and now you're going to tell me that you're happy because our team won just because you flirted with the team captain and he scored a goal? Wow you're really something" insert sarcastic tone.

Can't she understand that I'm just really happy not because of the flirting but because of our winning moment? Wendy keeps on being sarcastic almost everyday, I think I need to tell this to Jared so he'll talk to her... but I doubt that he's going to talk to her, I think they're just going to fight endlessly. Then when the game was finished and the winner was already announced, we immediately went to the resting room where our team must be congratulated by our classmates and some of our teachers.

When we got there, Slater was still talking to someone but when he saw me he started to utter these words, and I quote  "You came". Then he started walking towards me with large steps and gave me a hug.

"You came!" Everyone's attention then focuses on us so I was a bit hesitant to hug him back, but I couldn't contain the happiness I'm feeling now so I just also wrapped my hands around him. With excitement Slater lifted me off the ground, his arms wrapped around my thigh as he raised me and my arms placed on his shoulders of support as I squealled in shock.

"Slater, don't squish my sister too long and put her down please" Here comes the evil step mother, when Slater put me down that's the only time I noticed that everyone was giving us taunting glares including our teachers they were also squealling earlier when we made that scene but I shrugged it off and stared at Slater.

"You seemed to be amused" He still have this huge smile plastered on his face that I'm almost scared because for sure his cheek bones are going to be sore lter on of he still keeps on smiling like that

"I am" He answered, I didn't even notice his hands were still placed on my hips and was gripping it lightly, still couldn't believe that I'm here.

"Woah, I didn't think that you'll ever come" Slater was excited again that he tried to hug me again but my evil stepmother came around again and pulled me slightly back. Jared can sometimes be this irritating believe me.

"And he wasn't on his best during the game, his shots were all failed but when he sees you he still had the time to flirt in the court" Jared added while drinking some water, I looked around and saw Jade talking to Vincent but looking how Vincent kept on talking I think it's the other way around. They're getting closer and closer everyday, but something seems wrong, I can see how Jade is avoiding Vincent. I wonder what's wrong.

"Having eye contact in just 3 seconds in the court isn't flirting" Slater defended.

"Next time, with or without me you should still do your best" I told Slater as I gave him a water bottle beside me, he happily took it and gulped a few amounts of water.

"You sound like a couple who just had a simple quarrel but in the end the wife still supported her husband" Jade amusingly said as she joined our conversation now, as an answer Slater pulled me close to him which made me blush.

"Slater" Slater and I immediately turned around when we heard that familiar voice from afar.

"Irene! you're here!" She chimmed in excitement, regocnizing that it was Mrs. Song, I immediately gave her a hug and smiled.

"I am Mrs. Song, it's good to see you here"

"Were you supporting your brother?" She asked me as she saw Jared and Wendy bickering again, I want to apologize to her because of their behaivior but the smile on her face never left. She was actually chuckling because she was laughing on Jared's comment to Wendy.

"I was, as well as Mino" I answered her politely then Jared came towards us and greeted Mrs. Song.

"Mino can you let of of my sister's hand? We need to go now" I looked down and noticed that I was indeed holding Slater's hand, Mrs. Song's smile grew wild once she saw our intertwined hands but I immediately waved goodbye to them since I know mom is already eaiting for.the four of us to go home.

"We just got here a few minutes ago Jarred" Wendy argued but Jared just dragged him to the car.

"Were you happy huh? Seeing him today? Flirting with you?" Jared suddenly asked while he was driving.

"I think you need to really be protective of Irene" Wendy added, here comes the taunting again.

"Let it go Jared, I came there as a friend"

"But he aknowledged you as his girlfriend" I shrugged my shoulders with a smile

"Who knows, I might be"
