Irene's P.O.V.

I looked at my wrist watch then back at my 2 late sisters, Yeri was also late earlier because she told me that she was walking with my sisters. I told her to go home because I can see that she's a fast learner and her passion is clearly seen.

"Unnie! Let's stop first!" Wendy slumped herself on the floor, as expected, she'll throw tantrums again.

"If you're not late then we would probably be home by now" I answered her.

"Can't we just skip this?"

"You are my sister but that doesn't mean I need to treat you with special care, I am a cheerleading captain today so keep on stretching"

"Why are you late by the way?" I asked while turning the music off since I can't hear them clearly, I guess a quick break wouldn't hurt.

"Our lovely brother is bothering me, he keeps on messing with me today" Wendy complained, Wendy and Jared seems to be like a couple who kept on bickering about petty things. I just don't understand why Jared is treating her like a princess.

"When will I ever see the both of you in good terms?" I sighed

"Maybe when they'll fall in love with each other" Jade chimmed in, I looked at her in disgust. Why would incest even cross her mind?

"Eww! That's incest!" Wendy hitted her shoulders, yeah I agree that's eww.

"Well it's not me whose mind is travelling towards that basketball player"

"Basketball player?" I stared at Wendy for a while but I noticed that she was staring at Jade and I immediately knew that my youngest sister is blushing. I raised my eyebrow and looked at her, I want answers.

"Jade, care to share?" I asked while sitting beside her.

"I just met him earlier, he just helped me in carrying my books that's all" I narrowed my eyes on her, I know she's telling the truth but I know that she's not telling the whole story.

"Are you sure because I remember you telling me that he's -" Before Wendy could even finish her sentence Jade quickly covered her mouth which made Wendy's words gibberish.

"Jade, I need to know" I narrowed my eyes at her again.

"Are we going to talk about me or are we going to finish our stretching and go home quickly?" I knew she's going to change the topic but I'll let her go for now, Wendy wants to tease Jade the whole day.

"You're trying to change the topic but I agree, Wendy also changed the topic to you earlier. She wants to skip the training, 5 minutes more, go" I stood up from the floor and went to the computer to turn on some music.

"Aish"

"Try to complain, I'll extend it to 20"

After 5 minutes of staring at my sisters, I decided that we should go home since the sun is about to set. I think it's already 5 in the afternoon, our parents would be worried and I think Jared is already tired of waiting for us.

"Okay, let's wrap it up!" I stood up and fixed my bag, phew, I'm tired.

"Atlast!" Wendy sighed in relief, sometimes she's lazy and is always complaining. Sometimes she can only escape from practice when Jared is staying with us, he'll give me excuses and he'll even help her to escape from me!

"But we still need to hear what happened Jade" I chuckled knowing that Wendy loves to tease Jade, sometimes I'm the one who feels guilty whenever Wendy teases Jade. She's too kind and calm to be treated like that, but luckily she's not keeping any secrets from us eventhough Wendy likes to make fun of her and blackmail her using her secrets.

"Let's go, Jared's probably waiting for us" I carried my bag and waited for my sisters to come out of the room, I locked to door and was surprised to see Jared and his team mates still gathering around and it seems like they're having a very serious problem.

"She seems to spot her crush" I heard Wendy whispering to Jade, I turned around and saw Jade who suddenly turned frozen. Well I'm curious about this guy, whoever he is.

"Your crush is here? Where?" I asked

"He's not my-" Jade tried to argue but Wendy quickly appeared beside me and pointed at a guy beside our brother.

"Vincent? You like him?" I turned around and tried to confirm it, Jade suddenly turned beet red while I can see Wendy smiling cheekily. Here we go again.

"No I don't! Don't belive her" Jade denied as she elbowed Wendy, I shooked my head and sighed when I noticed that Jared was still looking troubled. I made my way towards them.

"Jared, what's happening here? All of you seems to be in panic" I asked while tapping my brother's shoulder, the whole team members looked at me with their soulless eyes like they've seen a monster. What the heck is even happening here?

"It's just that Slater isn't here, he's our team captain and the MVP of our team. For the mean time I'll be the team captain but I'm sure we won't win if he's not here" Jared has a point, I've known their team captain for 4 years now, he's very competitive and strong. He's the MVP for 4 consecutive years, I can't even imagine how he maintained his grades and the game, he's also smart and very sporty

"Have you contacted him? I'm sure he's just absent today" As far as I know and as I'm concerned, Slater doesn't like to suspend himself from school. He makes sure that he'll won't be absent even if he's tired from all the practice their team did.

"We had a talk to our principal regarding that, they're sure that Slater was enrolled here but it's been 3 weeks since the first day of school and yet he never even attended a single class" That's odd, he's someone who values his dream and as well as his studies.

"We tried contacting him but his mother is the only who kept on answering the phone" Vincent spoke up, he's fine for me. I think he'll be perfect with Jade.

"Something's wrong with him and I'm sure of that" Jared and Slater are llke brothers, he shares his secrets with my brother and my brother also do the same.They know each other like they're brothers so Jared is really confused and worried.

"Everyone take a rest, on behalf of your team captain and as a cheerleader captain everyone is dismissed" Our principal always tells us that the team captain of the basketball team and the team captain of the cheerleading team should always have one decision, if both of us are absent then our substitute needs to ask permission from the both of us before controlling our team.

I've met Slater Song a thousand times, we've been called for meetings regularly to discuss the problems we have in each of our team members. He's actually charming and handsome, we're not that close but I think I can call myself as his friend. Though sometimes his aura scares me, it was strong and fierce, the last time I saw him was when I decided to lock the door of the cheering room. He was still practicing his shooting skills but strangely, all the balls he threw were just bouncing back on the headboard. He has bags under his eyes and it seemed like he was broken.
