~Headache~

Irene's P.O.V.

"Guys, this is our seventh day in practicing, let's do our best so I'll give you 20 minutes to rest later" I said 'guys' refering to all the people, girl or boy inside the gym as we are now excused from our activities in school, we are asked to ficus on the upcoming basketball championship and we promised to give all our best.

Everyone shouted in glee as we all started warming up our muscles before doing anything, I stood in he middle of the court as I looked for Jared. I never saw him earlier this morning as he, of course started living his own life, his real life. A few day ago, Jared himself realized that he's not a part of our family, he found out the rruth behind his birth which then he happened to be Slater's older brother.

Now he's not just my brother but he's also Slater's, luckily Wendy, Jade and I immediately accepted the truth without feeling bad nor hating anyone. We are simply pleased to have a bond and meet Jared as a brother who just wanted to protect us the whole time.

"Jared, please don't do this to me. I can't let him know this early" I whispered to him once I saw him tying his shoelace on the bench, I made sure that no one is standing nor walking beside us so they wouldn't know any single thing regarding the topic Jared is interested about.

"You have to understand my part too Irene, Slater is my brother and I still treat you as my sibling but if you'll listen to Slater's story about  you every night, you'll understand why I'm doing this"

I closed my eyes in frustration, Jared apparently said somthing which involves me, actually it's all about me. I asked him to keep it a secret but he ignored my pleas and gave Slater a hint...

"Irene" Hearing his voice definitely just made my heart flutter, it was like I was floating on clouds and there were many butterflies flying in my stomach... but at the same time...

"Is there something wrong?" He asked with a currious gaze as his eyes ws fixed on mine and Jared, my... his brother stood up from the bench and gave me a small smile before joining his other team mates in shooting.

"I was just telling Jared to keep an eye on his phone, Jade might call him for emergency because my phone is already dead" I hope he'll believe my alibi...

"Well Vince is staying at the hospital so I'm sure he can take care of Jade, right?" And I forgit that he's actually smarter than me, he knows how to caught me off guard with his words but I know that he's just currious.

"You can't stop me from being worried"

"I forgot, that's why I fell for you" I chuckled when Slater gave me a sweet and gentle kiss on my forehead, I rested my head on his shoulder and stared at our ever hardworking friends.

"Okay! Guys, let's warm up and wait for our team captain who is still flirting with his grifriend!" Jared shouted which turned everyone's attention to us, I shooked my head and laughed silently when the teasing sounds made by our team mates entered my mind.

"Let's get back to business, Jared is gonna lose his mind if he sees us acting like this" I whispered in which Slater gave a snort and glared at his older brother.

"I swear I think I might kill him one day if he continued interrupting us like this" Well then, here goes the flower boy who doesn't want o get interrupted by his lovely brother... some times Slater and I have the same way of thinking, could this be fate?

"Cheer up, atleast I'm always here by your side" Pulling both of his cheeks on the opposite side just made me laugh more.

"Guys I think Jared is right, they won't stop telling sweet words so let's just warm up by ourselves" Wendy shouted, well she intended for Slater and us to hear so we could finally stop flirting.. well, sorry, I have a boyfriend.

"What did you say?" I scoffed and smacked Wendy on her head, well we always do this for fun so no worries.

"Unnie, you didn't have to smack my head" She uttered while pouting, sometimes I can't help but notice how choosy she is, she thinks she's too classy.

"Let's practice now, do 10 laps around the court" I ordered

"You just want to run with Slater"

"Keep your balance checked and your breathing normal, smile and look infront of you" I said briefly without no stop as I know I'm starting to blush furriously, I feel like I'm light headed and a bit dizzy but I shooked my head and tried to focus on the girls.

"Shoot the ball and practice your dribbling skills, always stare at the ball and don't let the enemy hold it" When Slater said those words, I couldn't comprehend anything anymore. Everything I see looks doubled and even my eyesight is starting to blur, I couldn't hear anything nor feel..

"Irene-"

The last thing I heard was Slater's calm voice which assured me that everything will be fine before everything turned black.
