"What about now?" Joey asked as he ran his hand up and down my thigh. As much as I want to have another night of wonders and joy, I had an important day of work the day after, and I still wasn't done with the paperwork that was due tomorrow morning.

"No."

Joey sighed, "Lo, we already have three chihuahuas, isn't it time to think about starting a family?"

I closed my laptop, "I'm just annoyed with kids easily, and what if we kill them?"

Joey kissed the side of my head, "You know you won't kill them, but maybe you'll feel differently."

I set the laptop on my nightstand and laid down on the bed and snuggled into the covers. Joey and I had been married for five years, we had three chihuahuas, and I was happy. But recently, Rachael and Jeff found out that they were expecting and so Joey started bugging me about kids. I was upset that I did not want to give him what he wanted when he gave me my three puppy angels, but I'm genuinely scared and annoyed with kids.

"Whenever you're ready, Lo. I love you and I'll wait till you're comfortable with that."

I turned away from him, but he spooned me. And I tossed and turned the whole night, still feeling extremely guilty about turning Joey down for the seventh time this month.

My boss is very nice and considerate, and she probably saw me being tired and troubled, because she postponed my paperwork and presentation.

"Lauren, I can postpone your work today, but you have to do something for me in return..." she started, "It may be a hard task for you but I really hope you could help out."

I nodded, "Yeah, sure, what is it?"

Then, right on cue, a toddler who I assumed was two ran into the building, screaming 'Momma, Momma, Momma' again and again. He had blonde hair and emerald green eyes, looking exactly like my boss. My eyes widened and I felt like I could pass out.

"Can you babysit him for me please?"

So turns out her husband needed to go away on an emergency business trip, the sitter was sick and the daycare was closed for the day. And the kid could only come to the office because no one could look after him, so apparently, I had to do it.

"He has Celiac disease, that's why I'm trusting him with you," my boss said, "I was hoping that you would understand and help him out."

"Oh no problem," I lied as my boss set the kid down on, "I need practice with kids anyway..."

"Great! Thank you so much, Lauren!" my boss said as she picked up her things, "I have an emergency meeting in around two minutes, so I'll see you around!"

Her kid turned to me and grinned, "Hi Lolo, I'm Hawwy. Momma said you pway wif me."

His lisp was super adorable, I needed to admit that. So I smiled and led him into the common room.

"Lolo can you pway cars wif me pwease?"

"Sure," I said awkwardly and went to get some toy cars from his diaper bag. Oh and he was not potty trained, so that should be nice.

"Vwoom vwoom!" he laughed as he rolled the car over to my side, so I pretended the cars could talk.

"Hiya Harry! How was your day?" I asked in a Draco Malfoy voice, and he really seemed to like it.

He grinned, "I'm good!"

So we sat there and played toy cars on the rug for a while, my colleagues gave me weird looks and encouraging smiles as I was actually babysitting. And after he was done with cars, I made him a little gluten free snack for him as we watched Tangled.
