"Mommy?" little Johanna appeared into the living room in front of Lauren, who was casually cuddling with one of the chihuahuas on the couch while she was on her phone.

"Yes baby?"

"Can you teach me how to braid? Auntie Julia says you do it very well," she asked, holding up her Rapunzel doll she was given by Joe Walker on her birthday.

Lauren put down her phone, "Sure! But I've got a better practice object than the doll."

"Huh?"

"Go get Daddy."

Johanna ran into the apartment, screaming for her father, and Joey came out of the study, holding her in his arms.

"What now?" she asked, looking at her mother.

"Joey, sit down," Lauren instructed and Joey did as he was asked, "We're going to practice on Daddy."

Johanna jumped up and squealed with joy as Lauren motioned for her to sit next to her, she did, and Lauren picked up a strand of Joey's hair and split them into three pieces.

"So for the most basic braid, you take three pieces, and you cross the outer piece with the inner piece, left right left right, and eventually you will get a braid," Lauren explained, "You try."

Johanna climbed between her parents as she clumsily picked up a strand of hair and tried to split it into three pieces, which she did, with a little help from her mother, and had trouble gripping onto the pieces.

"It's hard," she commented.

Lauren helped her hold onto one of the pieces, "Have some patience, Hanna. We all take time to learn something."

"So I'll be sitting here for the next hour for you guys to braid my hair?" Joey asked, picking up his phone and started to scroll through Twitter.

"Stop complaining," his wife quickly said and turned to the small girl, "Cross this piece, honey."

He shrugged and continued going through Twitter, taking a picture of Johanna being engrossed in braiding his hair with Lauren lovingly helping on the sidelines posting it in the process, captioning it 'When you live in a house full of girls'.

"You know Hanna, you yanked my hair a lot when you were a baby," Joey said, chuckling a little bit.

Lauren added, "You yanked my hair a lot too."

"You do have a thing for hair, huh? Maybe you can braid as well as Mommy does in the future."

Johanna crossed another piece of hair over, "But this is hard."

"Practice makes improvement honey, just keep going."

"I did it!" Johanna exclaimed, raising the little braid she completed, yanking Joey's hair in the process.

"Ow! Hanna! Be careful!" he winced.

Lauren chuckled, "Good job Hanna! But be careful with Daddy's hair, he takes great pride in it."

"Why don't you braid Mommy's hair?" Joey suggested as he massaged the part Johanna yanked his hair on.

"Because I can't teach her if I can't see what she's doing," Lauren explained swiftly.

Joey sighed, "When can we have a son?"

"Never," she answered, "Keep asking me for another baby and we're not going on date night next week."

"My lips are sealed," he threw his arms up, surrendering.

Johanna let go of her father's hair and turned to her mother, "Can I try braiding your hair now, Mommy?"

Lauren glanced around and was thankful to see her Rapunzel doll lying abandoned on the couch, she picked it up and offered it to Johanna, "Maybe you should just stick with a Rapunzel doll."

Johanna shrugged, but took the doll anyway, "Okay!"

After the little girl happily skipped off to her room, Lauren turned to Joey, who was standing up and getting ready to go back to his room, and sat him down, sitting behind him.

"I'm not done with you Joey, it's my turn to braid your hair," she announced as she starting practicing a new hairstyle on him.
