Breredith- Babysitting

"Okay, is the mac and cheese in the oven?" Brian asked nervously, "And we have enough ice cream left, right?"

Meredith chuckled, "Calm down Bri! It's Jasmine and Jayden, not our boss."

"Those two are a hundred times scarier than our boss, I can't believe I let Jeff win that bet."

"Oh stop being so melodramatic, those two are a pleasure," she shook her head and went to pick out their squirming baby girl out of her crib, "Hey Brielle, oh god, you need a change."

Meredith turned to Brian quickly, "I'll be right back."

Just then, the doorbell rang. Brian swore silently under his breath for the Blims' impeccable timing and opened the door. Jasmine basically ran into the house and flopped down on the couch, grabbing the Wii remote, which was randomly sitting next to her on the couch. 

"Hey Brian, thanks for watching them," Rachael said and handed Jayden over, and Jeff gave Brian a whole bag and she explained, "There's his diapers, baby wipes, everything you might need. I stuck a couple toys in there as well."

Brian balanced the baby in his arms while holding the diaper bag, "Thanks... You two have fun on your date."

Jeff and Rachael said goodbye and Brian shut the door behind him, knowing it was gonna be a long night, "Jasmine, put the control down!"

Jasmine just kept pressing the buttons, "I wanna play Mario Karts, Uncle Bri!"

"Just lemme put your brother down first!"

 Brian looked around for someplace to put Jayden. Brielle was only three months old and she couldn't move around much, but Jayden was well over one and the only place to put him down was on the rug. He did that and put a piano toy in front of him, Jayden seemed captivated immediately and started slamming the keys on the toy piano. Brian sat down next to Brielle and grabbed a remote himself.

"Jasmine, stop that for one second," Brian said and put the Mario Kart program on, "Okay, who do you wanna be?"

Jasmine said thoughtfully, "Yoshi! He's so cute! What about you?"

"Probably Toad?" he answered, "He's cute too."

Brian set the whole game up and he chose the easiest course for Jasmine, Luigi Circuit, they were halfway through the game when Meredith came down the stairs with a very calm Brielle.

"Auntie Mere!" Jasmine leapt off the couch and threw the remote down, going over to give Meredith a big hug, Brian sighed and paused the game.

Meredith put Brielle down and picked Jasmine up, "Oh you're getting heavy."

"Are you having fun with Uncle Bri?"

The toddler nodded, "We're playing Mario Karts!"

"Sounds fun!"

"Join us!"

Meredith shrugged, "Okay, what do you want me to do?"

Jasmine led her to the couch and gave her the Wii remote, "You play Yoshi, Uncle Bri play Toad."

The brunette took the remote and glanced at her husband competitively, "You're on, Brian Holden."

"Challenge accepted, Meredith Stepien."

Meredith gave Brian a weird look before he resumed the game.

"Go Auntie Mere!" Jasmine cheered Meredith on.
