Starkid One Shots

Breredith- Late Nights

Quick note, this is set during the Apocalyptour, but for this oneshot's sake, everyone is on the same bus.

"Alright! We're pulling over for a bathroom break-" Julia announced at the head of the bus, but before she could continue, multiple groans were heard from around the bus.

"Lauren! For god's sake, empty your system before we leave the venue!" Joey's muffled complaints were heard from a bunk behind a closed curtain.

Lauren's voice was heard from the bunk above him, curtains closed as well, "Who said it was me who needed to shit?"

"Well, who else could it be?" Walker asked, frustrated as well, "You're the one who always needs to shit at two in the morning!"

"Actually," Jaime said from the couch, "It was me."

"Jaime!"

Despite everyone's unwillingness to get up, most people actually went to the bathroom when the bus pulled over at the gas station. Most people climbed into their bunks and fell sound asleep afterwards, Meredith, however, just laid there, eyes wide open, unable to fall back to sleep. So she decided to get up and sit on the couch for a little bit, hoping it would somehow bore her to sleep. To her surprise, when she walked out, she could see Brian working on his laptop on the couch.

"Hey Bri."

Brian looked up and smiled as he saw his girlfriend wearing one of his many Starkid t-shirts that she had already claimed for herself, "Can't sleep?"

She nodded and sat down, cuddling up with him, "And to think we have two shows tomorrow."

He shut his laptop down and put an arm around Meredith, "I can't believe the tour is already half over."

"Me neither," she mumbled, intertwining her hand with his free one, "This tour's definitely gone by quicker than the last one."

"Can I talk to you about something?"

"Fire away."

Brian took a deep breath before asking, "Will you move in with me after the tour?"

"Not that I don't want to, but are you completely sure about this?" Meredith listed out all the things they had to consider, "Is our relationship strong enough to begin with? Do we need a bigger apartment? How are we going to split the rent?"

He silenced her by pressing his lips onto hers, and they stayed like this for a while before they gently broke it, and Brian whispered, "Just answer me Mere, do you want to move in with me?"

"Where did this all come from Bri?"

"Being on tour with you made me realize how much I'll miss you when it's all over," he explained, "And I got so used to being around you all the time and it'll be sad when we have to stay in our own places again."

Meredith smiled and looked into his electric blue eyes, placing a hand on his cheek, "Yes."

"Yeah?" his face immediately lit up with a hundred watt smile.

"Let's do it, let's move in together."

Brian engulfed Meredith into a huge bear hug, and she quietly giggled at his enthusiasm. Even though they hadn't been dating for long, they've known each other for long enough now and whenever they were together, she knew something was different about Brian. She thought about how exciting it would be to see him everyday, to come home and knowing there was someone waiting there for her, someone who would always cuddle up on the couch with her.

The more Meredith thought about it though, the more she realized how tired she was, and her eyelids started to feel heavier and heavier. Brian sensed how tired his girlfriend was and he grabbed the blanket he took with him and draped it over her, holding her in his arms, and just like that, she was fast asleep.

The next thing they knew, it was morning, and woke up to Jaime squealing and everyone else teasing them.
