Letters, Words and Paragraphs

It is inconceivable how letters, words and paragraphs can end up becoming so lovely depending entirely on how a writer weaves them. Letters begin as but many lines—whether straight or curved—and circles and dots, as simple constructions of the mind. And to these letters—which are the basis of some of the finest means of communication for human beings—significance is attached. It is true that letters, words and paragraphs can be beautiful, but they do not start out that way.

Letters are not beautiful until a person gives them meaning.

Syllables are not beautiful until their sounds are in such perfect harmony with one another that they are comparable to music to the ears.

Words are not beautiful until properly understood—inside and out and upside-down, backwards and forwards and even placed next to other words.

Sentences are not beautiful until strung together in a way that theoretically makes no sense while also making all the sense in the world.

Paragraphs are not beautiful until connected to the deepest emotions experienced by a human soul.
