You looked at me with that same expression on your face that I could never name, and I looked back at you and smiled slightly, knowing that the twinkle I undoubtedly got in my eyes as I looked upon you told you more than my smile ever could. We looked at each other much too intimately, yet we said nothing. Somehow, though, our silences said more than our voices and words ever could. I wanted to reach out and run my fingers through your hair and let you trace letters onto my skin with your fingers, but we did neither of those things. And, by some means, the small distance between us expressed more than your touch ever could.
