An Unwanted Visitor

1 WEEK LATER

"Are you sure you are ok if I go to work?" Daniel asked me again.

"I think I'll be fine," I said rocking Thomas back and forward in my arms.

"I love you baby," he said kissing my cheek.

"I love you to," I replied.

He walked out the door and I closed it behind him. What should I do today? The house needs a massive clean. Maybe I could go over to the Stowaway and pay Charlotte and Amelia a visit.

I decided I would do that first and walked out and put Thomas in the backseat. He could be so peaceful and not make a sound, yet he could also make everything so difficult.

Once I got to the stowaway I unfolded the pram and placed the capsule in it gently being carful not to wake Thomas. He stirred but kept his eyes closed and walked into the bar. I didn't realize Jack was holding a gathering to celebrate the end of the summer and so as I walked in the noise and cheering woke up the baby immediately.

"Shhh," I said pushing the pram back outside.

I put the brake on near the door and took him out gently so he was cradled in my arms.

"Emily," Amanda said walking outside.

"Hey I came to see Charlotte," I said giving her a hug.

"She's upstairs, I was worried I saw you walk in and then walk out so suddenly," she said.

"I didn't want Thomas to scream the house down," I said bouncing him a bit in my arms.

"Charlottes been waiting to see you," Amanda said opening the door for me to go inside.

I quickly grabbed my handbag and followed her in and up the stairs.

"Emi," Charlotte said as soon as I saw her.

"Hi Char, how you doing," I said kissing her cheek.

"I swear it's impossible to get a baby to sleep with all this noise," she said bouncing Amelia in her arms.

"Come back to my place," I offered.

"You don't mind?" She asked.

"We can put the babies down to sleep and have a coffee and a chat," I said smiling.

"I would love that," Charlotte said standing up.

She disappeared for a few moments but returned with her car keys and baby bag.

"You have to take your car, I only have one car seat in mine," I said.

"That's fine, I'll meet you at the house," she said smiling.

10 MINUTES LATER

NO ONES P.O.V

As both the cars pulled up out the front of the beach house, both Charlotte and Emily got out and took the children from the backseat. It wasn't until they walked up to the front door that they realized something was wrong.

"Stay here," Emily said passing her the baby capsule that Thomas was lying in.

The door was wide open and someone was moving around inside the house.

"Emily you can't," Charlotte said.

"Get into the car and if anything happened call the police," she replied.
