1 DAY LATER- NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING

"Well this is it," Daniel said walking down the stairs. "Last chance to skip the silly tradition."

"It's not silly, it's sweet," Emily said laughing a little.

Their lips move together and they stay close for a few moments until Daniel finally pulls away.

"What is it?" Emily asked him.

"I keep wondering why you're not bringing it up," he said.

She looked at him cluelessly and he looked down to the floor.

"We never spoke about Sara and I yesterday in the hospital," he said.

Emily moved her hand off his shoulder and looked away with pain obvious in her facial expression.

"I didn't sleep with her, it was just a kiss," he said.

She looked back up at him and a tear escaped her eye.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I was confused and overwhelmed and it meant nothing I swear. Say something please," he begged as Emily moved her hand.

"Is it over?" She asked.

"Yes......Yes and I knew it would hurt because you're the only one I want," he said grabbing her hand.

She looked down to the ground trying to blink back the tears. She wanted to be so angry with him, and she should be angry with him.

"You're the only one I want too," she said looking back into his eyes.

"I'm all in. With you, and the baby," he said reaching down and touching the baby in Emilys arms. "I'm not going anywhere."

"I'm not going anywhere either," she said giving him a small smile.

He pulled her into a hug and she let the tears slide down her face and onto his shoulder.

"I love you Em," he said.

"I love you too."

Once they had pulled away he wiped her eyes and they smiled at each other.

"Are you sure you will be ok with the baby by yourself for the night?" He asked her.

"I'll be fine, and it's not like you can take him because I'm the one that feeds him," she said.

"I know but I could ask Charlotte or Amanda to come around and just stay the night to help you out if he is going to make your life difficult," he said.

"If Charlotte would like to come around I would appreciate it," she said smiling.

"I'll give her a call now," he said pulling out her phone.

"I'm going to feed Thomas and out him into bed," she said walking up the stairs.

By the time the baby was finally sleeping Charlotte had arrived and was waiting downstairs.

"Are you sure you don't mind staying tonight?" She asked Charlotte.

"Em it's no problem. I don't want you to tired for your wedding day," she said smiling.

"Goodbye Em," Daniel said pulling her into his arms.

She breathed into his neck and tried to hold back the tears that were forming in her eyes.

"Don't cry again," he whispered stroking her forehead.

"I love you," she said.

She moved her head back so she was looking into her eyes.

"I love you more than you could ever imagine possible," he said.

He wiped the tear of her cheek and kissed her before leaving Emily and Charlotte alone.

"What was that about?" She asked Emily.

"It's a long and boring story. But for now I am going to bed," she replied.

Both walked up the stairs and into the different rooms where they slept.

2am

The loud cries of the baby filled the top level of the house and Emily rolled over to pick him up.

"Sh,sh,sh," she said rocking him gently.

"Em, let me take him," Charlotte said walking into the bedroom.

"It's ok I have to feed him anyway," she replied.

"Are you sure?"

"Honestly I'm fine," Emily said.

Charlotte left the room and Emily sat down on the bed and fed Thomas. He settled down but as soon as she laid him down in the bassinet he started to scream again.

"What is it?" She asked picking him back up. "Why won't you let mummy go to sleep?"

She laid back down in the bed and put him on top of her chest so she could rub his back.

"Is that better?" She asked kissing his forehead.

His cries died down and he closed his eyes; falling asleep in Emilys stomach. Not long after she closed her eyes to and fell asleep aswell.
