He's Okay

10 MINUTES LATER

Emily was sprinting down the corridor of the hospital followed by Daniel.

"Where is he?" She asked running up the Rebecca who was standing in the waiting room of the ICU.

"Come wiht me," she said leadin them down the corridor and into a small room. "You need to know that he isnt good Emily," she said stopping her before she could enter the room. "He is incrediably sick and even though we have found him doesnt mean he is out of rough waters just yet. He was in the middle of nowhere for 3 nights."

"I know that," Emily said quickly, anxious to get inside the room.

"Okay, you can go in," she said pushing the door open for the two of them.

Both Daniel and Emily walked into the room quietly and moved over to the tiny cot where their baby was laying.

"Hes alright," Emily said tearing up at the sight of her little boy.

"I know," Daniel said looking over at him and pulling Emily into his chest.

"He looks so sick," she said bursting into tears as she touched his arm.

"Hey dont cry," Daniel said moving his body so she could cuddle into his chest.

"But he......" she said sobbing.

"He'll be ok. He is safe now," Daniel said holding back tears of his own.

Rebecca was standing in the doorway of the room, watching Daniel and Emily reuntine with thier son.

"Where did you find him?" Daniel asked turning around to face her.

"He was found by a bush walker and was pulled from a rusty old hut about 50km from where he was taken," she said slowly.

Emily slowly turned around from the cot, hesitating to take her eyes of Thomas. She walked quickly forward and pulled Rebecca into a hug.

"I dont know how to thankyou," she said trying to hold back tears.

"This is my job Emily, you dont need to thank me," she said returning the hug.

"But i do," she said stepping back and wiping her eyes.

"She is right," Daniel said walking up behind her and wrapping ihs arms around her waist. "Without you he could be in the bush again tonight."

"It was my plessure to help you. I have a child of my own and I know what it would feel like to be in a situation like this," she said giving them a small smile. "Im just glad your little boy is ok."

"Thankyou," Daniel said again giving her a hug.

Thomas let out a cry from behind them and Emilys head span around to look at him.

"shh honey, mummys here," she said walking over to him.

"I know it'll be hard for you Emily but you cant pick him up, he needs to stay attached to the machines," Rebecca said walking up behind her.

"I cant just let him cry," Emily said reaching out to him.

"Em stop," Daniel said grabbing her hands before they could touch the baby. "If you want him to get better you need to listen."

"Im sorry," she said putting her hands down. "Its just hard for me to have him crying and not be able to do anything."

"I know it is. Maybe we should go back to the police station," Rebecca suggested.

"I cant leave him here," she said cautiosly.

"I know it is difficult to part with him after everything thats happened but I need to discuss a few things with you, and this way you wont need to sit here and have to listen to him cry," Rebecca explained.

"Ok but we are coming back straight after," Emily said looking at Daniel.

"What did you need to speak to us about?" Daniel asked Rebecca.

"Lets get back to the station and then we'll talk," she replied.

-----------------POLICE STATION----------------

Daniel and Emily sat down opposite Rebecca in her office when she handed then a photo.

"Do you recognise this man?" She asked Emily and Daniel.

"Thats Aiden," Daniel said.

"How do you knwo Aiden?" Rebecca asked.

"He is my ex boyfriend," Emily explained.

"And he worked along side me at Grayson Global," Daniel finished off.

"Why?" Em asked.

"He was the one who took the baby," Rebecca said gently.

"What?" Emily gasped starting to cry again.

"Its okay," Daniel said hugging her.

"No its not okay!" she snapped.

Daniel quieted down quickly which made Emily look up at him.

"Im sorry, I didnt mean to snap," she said hugging closer to him.

"I know," he said kissing her lightly on the forehead.

"Thats not all," Rebecca said causing both Emily and Daniel to look up at her.

"What else?" Daniel asked concerned.

"How do you know Victoria Grayson?" she asked looking at both of them.

"She my mother, why?" Daniel asked.

"Do you get along with her?" she asked.

"Is what goes on in my family really important Rebecaa?" he asked.

"Yes infact it is Daniel," she explained.

"Why?" Emily asked.

"Because Victoria was the one that ordered and set up the disapearance of your son."
