Six-fifty

"There she is!" Kian exclaimed, breaking the silence after about ten minutes of walking around the theatre. He pointed to the corner of the room where Andrea was sitting alone at a table. She really was pretty. She'd had no warning she'd be going out today and she still managed to look like a model. It was no wonder Kian was so smitten.

"Hey babe!" Kian yelled, breaking me from my thoughts. Andrea looked up from her phone right away and flashed a killer smile. She got up and ran to Kian, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.

"I missed you! I'm so sorry about earlier. I've just been having a bad week. Forgive me?" She said, batting her eyelashes at Kian. He grinned.

"It's fine, you had every right to be mad." He said, kissing her. I looked away. No she didn't, all he did was suggest a movie she didn't like. Perfectionist. I looked around the room for an excuse to get away.

"I'm going to get food. Meet you in the movie." I said, turning and quickly walking toward the food counter.

"Hey, wait up Ricky! I want food too!" I heard Andrea call after me. So much for getting away. I stopped, but didn't turn to look at them. I felt Kian's hand on my arm. 

"Come on." He urged. I looked over at him and felt my face twitch at the way Andrea was hanging off his other arm. She looked like a spoiled child. What's wrong with me? If anything I should be trying to prove that what Andrea thinks of me isn't true. I smiled and looked back to Kian's face.

"Yeah, of course." I said, breaking out of his grasp and walking ahead of them to the counter. I heard Andrea giggling behind me in the line but didn't bother to see at what. 

"What would you like?" The guy behind the counter said blandly. I scanned the options quickly.

"Large popcorn and a can of Arizona." I said, reaching to my back pocket. Where was my wallet? I felt up my ass, desperately looking for it.

"That'll be 6.50, sir." The guy repeated. I nodded and looked to Kian hopefully. He smirked and passed me a ten. I gave it to the cashier eagerly and went to trace back my steps.
