I Don't Wanna Talk About It

"Ricky-" He started but I stormed out of the bathroom. I speedwalked to the table Andrea was sitting at, playing with her phone looking generally bored. I grabbed my food with such force her popcorn tipped over onto her lap.

"Wow, Rick, nice going." She grumbled at me. I was so done with her. I was actually smiling at the fact I'd spilt it on her. She looked up from her efforts to get it off her and glared at me. "Why are you so freaking happy?"

"I'm not." I said flatly, wiping the smile of my face. Just then I heard Kian running up behind me. I started to leave but Kian shouted at me.

"Ricky, I still have your wallet. And how are you going to get home?" He said, catching up to me. Andrea sat staring at us looking genuinely perplexed. I shrugged and made a face at him.

"I'd sooner walk than sit through an entire movie with her." I said, lowering my voice at the end. But you can bet she heard it.

"Wow, what's that supposed to mean, Ricky?-" Kian covered her mouth with his hand before she could continue. He passed me my wallet with his other hand.

"Get home safe." He said, looking at me sympathetically. I snatched the wallet from his hand and turned to leave. Just before the door clicked shut behind me I heard Andrea burst into a fit of laughter. I'm usually a forgiving person but no way in a million years could I picture myself being able to stand her again.

I trudged out into the rain, trying to finish my huge popcorn before it got soaked. I gave up soon after though and shoved it in a nearby trashcan. I stuffed my hands in my pockets and put my hood up. I didn't actually plan to walk the entire way home. I'd walk until I calmed down then call Jc to come and get me.

It was a lot later now, almost dark outside, but I still didn't feel like going home. Especially not now because Kian would be home and he'd want to talk to me. Plus, the rain had stopped so I wasn't that uncomfortable, just a little cold. I was on a random street exploring when I heard a car slow down beside me.

"Ricky, get in here." I heard Kian shout out the window. I didn't turn to look at him. What if Andrea was in the passenger's seat?

"You're going to catch a cold!" He yelled at me. I could hear the anger in his voice. This was so unlike me, I was always the happy friend. What had gotten into me lately? I looked over at him and was happy to see he was the only one in the car. I still wasn't ready to talk to him about it though, so I continued walking.
