"You know, I don't really know that much about you Papyrus. Tell me the things that you like. Besides spaghetti that is." The robot smiled and chuckled a bit. They were sitting in the echo flower fields, eating nice cream. The skeleton laughed. "Nyeh he he! The Great Papyrus likes many things! Um.....including you....b-but I will tell you the little things." Mettaton cleared his throat and blushed. 'He's such a cutie pie. So sweet. Always giving me compliments left and right.' "Well for starters my absolute favorite color is orange...." He made a mental note in his head to remember that. It wouldn't be hard anyways. He was a robot afterall. "My family includes Sans. But I like to think that friends count in that category too. So there's Undyne and Alphys. My favorite show is um....yours. I love it so much. I watch nothing else." He stopped to eat the rest of his nice cream. Mettaton looked down at his own, watching it slowly melt on his white clean gloves. With disgust, he pushed the dessert to the skeleton. "I know it's not much but do you want it?" Papyrus nodded happily and took it in his stickly boney fingers to eat. The robot smiled and quickly slipped off his messy gloves to placed them on the grass. He was always prepared for situations like these. With a napkin, Mettaton grabbed the other's hand and wiped them clean. He did the same with his skinless face too, blushing hard. The skeleton's face turned a deep red as his favorite celebrity removed the nice cream. "W-wowie. Thanks Mettaton!" He only nodded and crossed his metal legs. "Keep going darling. I want to hear more." Papyrus scratched the back of his skull while clearing his throat. "Of course! Um....my favorite animal would probably be butterflies. They're very pretty. I have a collection of robot action figures in my room too. Oh and an awesome race car bed!" His tone lowered as he stared at the ground. "I don't like when others are mean.....its just not right. No offense to the dogs here but there not always my favorite. But only when they are stealing my bones." Mettaton chuckled at this. 'What a sight that would be.' Papyrus continued. "I don't really like Sans' puns that much but he tells them to me anyway. I love cooking and playing in the snow. Maybe one day I could show you the awesome snowman I have made. My favorite holiday is Christmas! Don't you love that jolly man?" The skeleton seemed to be asking him the question directly and waited for an answer. "I've never had a Christmas in this body yet. But before when I was a ghost, me and Blooky would celebrate it together with our other cousins. It was okay. No one really got in the spirit too much though. I guess Santa hasn't really helped with that so..... Maybe it'll be different this time." The robot twirled a piece of grass around his finger and thought about the past. He was always the one to get his family in a jolly mood. He always had to be the one to make them feel something other than dissapointment. He had to do all the planning, the decorating. It was tiresome. And it didn't always work for the most part. He sighed and closed his eye. Papyrus noticed how silent the star was and carefully touched his exposed hand. Mettaton jumped a bit and looked up, meeting the skeleton's wide beautiful smile. "This year will be completely different. I, The Great Papyrus! Will make sure of it! You have me, Alphys, Undyne and Sans now. You can also invite your other friends too!" The celebrity smiled and squeezed his boney hand. "Yeah. I'm looking forward to it. Thank you." Papyrus nodded. "I don't really know what else to say......um.....I guess my favorite thing would have to be.....hanging out with you right now." He blushed and looked everywhere except at Mettaton. The robot blushed too and bit his lower lip. 'Why does he have to be so cute?' "U-um.....would you like to go home now? I could walk you there." The skeleton rubbed his boney leg and waited for an answer. A firefly blinked it's light near the corner of the celebrity's eye. "Oh that's very sweet of you Papyrus." He picked up his gloves and made a move to get up but his metal hand was grabbed quickly. He looked up at eye sockets. "Let me help you Mettaton. Um....if you don't mind that is." The machine could only shake his head as he was helped off the grass. "Oh what a gentlemen you are." Papyrus smiled wide and chuckled. "I try to be. And a star such as yourself derserves the best doesn't he?" The robot was swooned. Neither of them noticed that their hands were still clasped together. "You are very kind. I like that about you. I wish I had met you before." The skeleton was internally screaming. 'He likes me?! He enjoys my company?! I-I can't believe it!! Okay, stay cool. Stay. Cool.' He cleared his throat but noticed their hands. He slowly let the other's go with hesitation. "Same here. Oh! Would you like me to hold those for you? I could wash them too if you like!" Mettaton squeezed his fist, missing the feeling of those boney fingers. "No no dear. That's alright. I can take care of it myself. But....you know my hand is a little lonely. Maybe you could....fix it?" Metal and bone clasped again, making them both smile at one another. Waterfall was quiet once again as they left towards Hotland.
(A/N: I got real bored so I wrote some. And I've been thinking, what do you guys think Papyrus has done in the past that everyone knows except for Mettaton?)
