Papyrus looked around him before he pulled out his cell phone to call Mettaton since he couldn't find him anywhere. Hopefully he hadn't made it home yet. The skeleton sat on a nearby bench and listened to the rings. He heard a long pause on the other end and held his breath. If he were being honest with himself he would say he was very nervous at the moment. "Hello darling. Are you alright?" Mettaton's heart fluttered as he waited fo a response. It was nice to hear from the monster again. He missed the company. "H-hello! Um.....The Great Papyrus was wondering where his friend went after my brother came home. I-I have something to ask you if you don't mind. But I think it would be best to say it in person?" Why did he always get so nervous when talking to the celebrity? "Oh of course! I'm at the nice cream stand in the Waterfalls. But is everything alright?" Why would Papyrus come after him so soon after he had left? What was so important? Did Sans find out what was really going on? 'Wait.....what is going on? What are we? Are we even a thing? He just called me his friend. Is that good or bad? I'm so confused!' He hated this feeling so much. Not knowing anything or how he felt about certain things or people. "There is no need to worry Mettaton. I took care of things with Sans. I'm on my w-way!" 'If only I could stop stuttering.' Papyrus hung up and took a deep breath. He was cool, calm and collected. He could do this. Maybe he wasn't part of the royal guard but that didn't mean he wasn't still a cool dude. That made him smile as the skeleton stood up and made his way to the nice cream stand. He could do this. He knew he could.

"Wow! This is so yummy! Thank you so much! This is the best day ever!!!" Monster Kid wagged his tail as he was fed more nice cream by his favorite star. Mettaton laughed at how cute this child was. Fans were everything to him and making them happy meant that he was happy himself. "Your welcome sweety." The robot hadn't bought anything for himself since the phone call made him a tad bit nervous. The feeling of butterflies still swarmed around in his belly as he tried hard to distract himself from it. Monster kid ate the rest of the dessert with blue nice cream spread all over his face. The star quickly wiped the mess away and patted his head. "Now I think its time for you to head on back home don't you darling?" He said. "Awww. But I don't wanna!"
"Please sweet pea? Your parents miss you dearly and I would hate for them to be upset." The small child looked down and sighed. "Alright. But.....will I see you again?" "But of course darling. I'll make sure of it." He kissed the top of the Monster's head and smiled. "Okay! Goodbye for now! I love you Mettaton!" Monster kid ran off quickly, once again tripping over himself but just as quick as he fell, he picked himself back up. Like always. The robot waved and stood by himself at the Waterfalls. He stared at nothing in particular as he walked in a small circle. Papyrus said he wanted to ask him a question. What did he want to know? "Mettaton!" He quickly looked up to see the happy skeleton jogging his way over with a beaming smile. 'Those clothes are certainly interesting. He looks good in them though. Adorable even. Shit. Stop it damint. Your his friend. Friends don't think like that about one another. But....the kiss....' He composed himself and smiled back. "Hello P-!" He was squeezed in a tight boney hug that stabbed him in some places. But not even that made him stop blushing so hard. Papyrus slowly pulled back and scartched the back of his skull with a blush of his own. "S-sorry! I just.....really missed you. Um, would you like to walk? And if you don't mind me asking, what were you doing here?" The star chuckled to himself. "Oh there was this small adorable child who was so ecstatic to see me. He's from Snowdin, you probably know him. He followed me and I of course gave him an autograph. I also took him to the nice cream stand. Tiny creature is always hurting himself since he doesn't have any arms. But that of course doesn't stop him from being absolutely fabulous!" The skeleton thought about it. "Oh! Monster kid! He lives a couple houses down from me and Sans. You took care of him? Wowie.....that's really sweet of you." It was silent for a moment. The only noise that could be heard was the waterfall near them in the background. "I-it was the right thing to do. He's a fan of mine. A child." The robot said out of nowhere, cutting the silence off. They were staring at each other again. But it never seemed to bother either of them when they did it. "You know Papyrus....he made me think of you. How eager and silly you were around me when we met earlier. How......innocent you are. He also reminded me of Mom. Alphys." "Really? That's nice. That is a good thing I hope?" The celebrity smiled and nodded, saying nothing else. Neither of the monsters broke eye contact with one another. It was comforting. Papyrus hesitantly stepped forward a bit closer. "Your eye. Can I....see the other one?" Without any response in return he slowly lifted a boney hand to carefully push back part of the stars' hair away from his metal face. What he saw shocked him in a way. He held his breath and waited for Mettaton to smack his hand away but surprisingly he didn't do a thing. He watched him carefully as the other half of his face was exposed. Papyrus expected to see another pink eye, but he was left staring at the inside of the robots face. Wires, bolts and screws could be seen along with a white opening. "Did- did something happen?" He asked in a hushed voice. "No. Mom never finished it for some reason." He shrugged. The skeleton nodded in understanding. "There's one thing that I didn't know about you. And it is.....very beautiful." Mettaton blushed and rested his hand across his heart where it sat beating fast inside the safety of the glass. Papyrus held onto his face and moved closer. "Can I?" It was said in a whisper. The star nodded without a second thought. They drew even closer, bone against metal once again. This kiss was longer, gentle. Mettaton took it one step further and slipped his tongue inside the other's mouth. Both wrapped their wet muscles around one another's. Saliva trailed down their chins as they pressed harder. Papyrus' arms wrapped themselves around the machine, pulling him closer to his own body. The kiss had turned more rough as they groped one another, teeth clashing together. The skeleton liked how the celebrity's lips felt. How his tongue ran along the bones inside his mouth. How his metal arms squeezed his middle, bruising and cracking him in some places. He tried to be as equally rough and playful as he pulled Mettaton's hair and dug his finger in the opening of his other eye. That caused the robot to jump and accidentally bite the others tongue. They pulled away from each other with a thin line of spit following. Papyrus pushed the wounded muscle to the roof of his mouth to ease the pain. "S-sorry!" They both said in unison. They were blushing and frazzled looking. "Did that hurt you?" The skeleton asked. "N-no. I was just surprised is all. Um....did I hurt you?" He shook his head. "It...felt good when you bit me...." He was starting to sweat now. If anyone had walked passed them at the moment they would have thought that there had just been some kind of fight taken place there. Papyrus had bruises along his bones, a swollen tongue, saliva across the mouth and his clothes were a wrinkled mess along with his hat on the ground. Mettaton didn't look any better with his hair in a disarray, showing off the opening in his face, a dent here and there, bruised lips and spit trailing down his chin. "Um....what I wanted to ask you earlier.....would you...like to go on a date with The Great Papyrus....?" The star smiled and laughed. "Yes I would."

(A/N: can you imagine writing this in school? Kinda strange but it helps me escape reality. Lol. Did ya like it?)
