The three of them walked in Snowdin. Hardly any monster was around being that they were still watching Mettaton's show on tv. He hoped that Blooky and Shyren were alright. Alphys raised her hand to knock on the skeleton's home but Undyne beat her to it and just twisted the doorknob without permission to enter. The dinosaur looked back at her son who only shrugged and followed in. She sighed and shook her head but trailed behind them. Papyrus was on the couch, curled up in his pj's and focussing on the television in front of him. He hardly noticed his guest walk in until the fish cleared her throat did he quickly look up with a wide smile. "Hello friends! Oh! Mettaton!" The monster ran over to his boyfriend and gave him a hug and a kiss to his cheek, right in front of his mothers. The star blushed and bit his bottom lip as Papyrus held him around the waist. "Your friends on the show told the audience that you would be absent today because of family issues. Is everything alright? They sang a song for you and everything." Mettaton pressed their foreheads togther and wrapped his arms around his boney figure. Who cared if they looked? "Awwww they're the best. I'm fine sugar skull. The problem was solved. There's no need to worry." The robot kissed his smile and slipped his hand in Papyrus'. From the corner of his eye he could see Alphys hopping up and down with excitement at seeing them together. He chuckled under his breath. "H-here you are Mettaton honey. You left your phone here....." The skeleton held the bright pink device with an equal color of it on his cheekbones. The robot knew that his boyfriend was thinking of their little fun time that they had before he left. They'd just keep it to themselves. "Thanks Papy dear." He said. "Oh! Where are your gloves?" Papyrus asked as he noticed his exposed metal hands that were usually hidden. "I.....left them. They were in the way of something is all. Do you like?" Mettaton rubbed the monster's face, making him blush. "Nyeh he he.....y-yes I very much do." Undyne shivered in disgust. But she did get why he didn't tell her bestfriend about their little fight. They would just put that behind them. Why cause concern when it was solved already? The fish looked down at the small scientist and stuck her tongue out and pointed down her throat, pretending to throw up. Alphys rolled her eyes but her cheeks were a bright red as she tried to avoid looking at the two. Undyne smirked and cleared her throat while clapping her hands together loudly to get their attention. "Alright! Stop before you make me puke all over the place." She leaned over the couch and watched as Shyren sang and floated around the stage with Napstablook in the background being the dj. It was cute seeing them perform and trying their best to keep the show going without Mettaton there. At first the fans were extremely sad at their announcement of the robot not joining them tonight, but that didn't stop them from enjoying their favorite show. The fans understood completely. The monsters underground are so kind. I really do love it here. The star thought as he layed beside Papyrus while Undyne sat next to him with his mother in her lap.

Sans peeked downstairs from his room at his friends getting comfortable together in his home. This is what was inportant enough for him to stay here. Important enough for him to crack jokes once and awhile. To keep a happy face. Family and friends. And possibly a.....lover. The small skeleton smiled and hopped from the railing next to the couch. "Hey guys. Mind if I join ya?" They all looked at one another but made room for him. He sat on the arm rest and relaxed. He could see Papyrus holding Mettaton's hand from the corner of his eye along with Undyne ruffling the robots hair who huffed and flipped it back. Alphys snorted and curled up in a ball, holding her tail to her chest and smiling as her son rubbed her head. All this affection reminded him of someone. Sans took a deep breath and turned to them. "Actually I'm gonna head out for a bit. I'll be back as soon as I can okay Paps?" His brother frowned at him but changed his expression quickly when Sans pulled out a heart shaped piece of paper with a blush gracing his cheeks. Papyrus gave him a nod and thumbs up at realizing what his sibling's plan was for tonight. He would finally admit his feelings for the monster that hid in the ruins. It didn't matter what they looked like or what gender they were. They had a great personality and that's all that mattered to him. Sans ran out the house, making his way through the snow with just slippers on his boney feet. The paper was clutched hard in his hand as his left eye glowed a light blue with specs of yellow. The same colored portal before him spun and opened for the skeleton to jump through, right to the door of the ruins where he stopped and slipped the heart under, removing the snow that covered the opening. He knocked a few times to make sure that she was there. He knew for a fact that the monster was a girl by the sound of her voice. And if it wasn't a female, who cared? He surely didn't. He waited for any type of response, feeling a swarm of butterflies appear in his belly. He could hear the paper being lifted from inside. It was silent for a moment, making Sans shiver not from the cold but from the possibility that they would reject him.

Behind the door to the ruins stood Toriel. She had no idea who she talked to daily. Who this monster's name was, what they looked like, how old they were or any of the basic stuff. But what she did know was how much fun they had together telling bad jokes. It was their thing and they never tire from it. She knew their voice and how smooth it sounded with a slight accent to it. She knew what their thoughts on the world were and what really mattered to them. She knew he was possibly a man but for all she actually knew it could very well much be a women too. And if it turned out that the monster was, who cared? She didn't. Not even a little bit. As Toriel read the small note her own heart fluttered in her chest. I may not know what you look like or even what type of monster you are or heck, your name. And I don't care about that. But I do know that we enjoy each other's company because if we didn't, we wouldn't make an effort to stay here. Don't you agree? It's kind of taking me awhile to write this......I don't know what I'm trying to really say here but......I really like you. Please.....open the door so that I can see who you are? Or at least tell me your name.....please.....my name....my name is Sans. Toriel covered her mouth to stop herself from making a noise of....excitement? Surprise? Sadness? Anger? Who knew? The note was clutched tightly in her hands that shook. She always wanted to see them. To actually meet them and this small heart shaped piece of paper was the key to that. It was everything at the moment. Do I want this? Can I do this? Show myself without anyone else finding out? Can I......trust this monster? She didn't want other's to know that she was once the queen of the underground. That was the whole reason of coming to the ruins in the first place....and to save a child from the clutches of Asgore. "Perhaps.....it is time to move on. Yes......yes." Toriel took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

Sans placed his hand on the door and stared at it. "Please," he whispered to no one in particular. "Please say something. Anything." Maybe this was a big mistake? It was a big step forward. Maybe too forward. The skeleton was just about to turn around and leave when a familiar red piece of paper flew from the bottom of the door at his feet. He stared at it, thinking that the monster didn't want anything to do with what the note said, but as he bent down to pick it up he noticed a different handwriting rather than his own scrawled on the heart. It was very neat and written in curly cursive. Sans hesitantly read it. Sans....what a nice name. Has a ring to it. My name is Toriel. But please keep this a secret. I trust you. I would love to come out and meet you but....my appearance must be hidden from the monsters out there. I'm sorry. Sans could feel his heart pick up it's pace as he read that sentence. He cleared his throat as a lump caught itself inside there. He kept reading. But, that doesn't mean that you can't come in here. Please, won't you come and meet me? Knock on the door and I'll let you in. The skeleton gasped and read it over and over just to make sure what he read was true. And it was. He smiled widely and looked up at the purple door, raising his hand again and knocked on it with his exposed boney knuckles. He closed his eye sockets and held his breath as he stood and listened as the door creaked open before him. He could feel the air coming out from the ruins and expanding out to explore Snowdin. A new area. "..........Sans?" He heard a clearer smooth sultry voice that he recognized call his name. He looked up. ".......Toriel?" Both monsters stared and smiled at one another. "Please, come in."
