Undyne popped out of bed at hearing her phone going off throughout the house. She grumbled under her breath, scratching her head and yawning to let the sleep go. It was early. 8:36 to be exact. She slowly slipped out of her comfy spot, walked to the kitchen and placed the home phone against her ear/fin. Rubbing her eyes and taking her first deep breath of the day, she spoke. "Who is this?!" The monster on the other end of the line slightly gasped at her harsh words but quickly brushed them off. "Undyne! My good friend! The Great Papyrus is ready to start the day and.....I need your help with something if you please...." The warrior should have known it was him. Who else would be up this early? "Paps, what could you possibly want at this time of day?" The skeleton twisted the phone cord around his boney finger, blushing, even though his friend couldn't see it. He didn't realize the silence that took place from his lack of speaking. His thoughts surrounded on his plans for today. What he wanted to do for a special someone that he couldn't stop thinking about the entire night. This was reality. This was real. This was actually happening right now! He was going out with Mettaton. "Papyrus!" He jumped and stumbled with the phone. "Y-yes Undyne?" He had forgotten that he was talking to her. "What do you want help with? Just say it!" Her tone was sharp, meaning that she wanted to get to the point already. She always did hate when people stalled. "Um....yes! I-I wanted your help....um....could you....c-could you...." No. The Great Papyrus didn't get nervous. He was confident in himself. He could do this. He knew he could. The skeleton stopped himself, took a deep breath and spoke again. "I wanted you to accompany me to the echo flower fields if you please. And I just....wanted some advice on something....." The fishes expression changed at hearing her bestfriend's plea. He needed her. Undyne closed her eyes. "I'll get ready now. And I'll be out the door as soon as I'm done." She didn't give him time to respond as she slammed the phone back on its reciever. With her fist balled and fins twitching she hurriedly ran to the bathroom.

Papyrus sat in the fields, gently touching the petals of the bright blue flowers. It played a soft melody and slightly bounced to the sound, liking its own tune. The skeleton smiled and swayed back and forth, joining in the dance. He reached over and touched another. It did the same but with a higher pitch, running smoothly. "Nyeh he he!" The monster hummed along. "What are you doing?" He looked up at his friend who stared at him strangely. "Undyne! Hello! I'm just enjoying the echo flowers music. Would you like to join?" The fish sighed and sat down on the grass. "Tell me what's wrong Paps." Her face held no emotion as she waited for him to explain himself. Papyrus cleared his throat, touching the flowers from earlier to stop their wonderful sound. His boney hand lay next to him as he focused on his shoes. "I.....I want to take Mettaton on another date. But I don't know what to do." Undyne snickered. "Why don't you bring the little punk here? He's in need of a good pounding!" She hit her fist against her hand and showed him her sharp teeth. "N-no! Please don't do that." She grumbled and placed her hand on his shoulder. "You know that's not gonna happen. Just call him now. Do it now! Let's have a fight! Watch me beat that piece of metal to a pulp!!!" The warrior ran around with her spear in the sky. She started to practice her fighting skills with no one in particular. Stabbing, Slicing, Kicking and jumping. Papyrus got up from the ground and watched her for a moment. "Um....I guess I'll just figure it out myself." The skeleton slipped away as his friend continued battling the air, yelling at nothing.
