Peridot's pov
"So you two go trick or treating every year?" I asked, intrigued.
"Well, not every year. I was still in recovery for the past two years." Pearl admitted sheepishly, pushing her hair behind her ears.
"Booooring, I want some candy!" Amethyst exclaimed, pulling on her costume. Opal nodded.
"We'll be there in a minute." She quickened her pace. A few seconds later, we could hear the sounds of festivities as the street we had selected was full of trick or treaters and fun activities arranged by the town.
"Okay then, stay with at least one other person, and meet back at this spot by eight thirty!" Everyone's nodded and split off into pairs.
"Well? What should we do first?" I asked.
"Get candy!" Amethyst shouted. Pearl covered her ears.
"Alright, let's go." We participated in the usual antics of children and stubborn teens, going from door to door asking for candies, admiring costumes and decorations, and, I might add, keeping Amethyst from eating any Candy wrappers.
"You should save your candy for later, Amethyst." Pearl cautioned. "Opal and I usually put all of our candy into a big pile and share it... she eats most of it."
"That idea might not be as terrible as all your other cloddy ideas!" I exclaimed. "Mother has called for a two hour delay of school starting time tomorrow to ensures students actually show up, there's no reason we shouldn't all pile our candy together and eat it all night."
Opal's pov
"C'mon guys, let's go to the next house!" I called excitedly, running ahead of the group. It was dark and I could barely see where I was going, but I tried not to run into anyone by looking foe feet. That method failed me, however, when I ran into someone wearing black shoes and tights.
"Ow!" The person called out in as shrill voice.
"I'm so sorry, I- Rainbow?" I looked up and confirmed that it was, in fact, Rainbow Quartz dressed as a Playboy Bunny.
"Opal!" I noticed Rose beside her, dressed in a long white gown. Greg stood beside her, wearing a Tuxedo.
"Hey Rose, Greg!" I nodded. "I didn't know you guys went this route."
"We don't." Rainbow said, snobbishly. "I usually go to a Halloween party, unlike you I act my age." I scoffed.
"Whatever. It was nice seeing you, Rose. But I should probably go find Sugilite, Alexandrite, and Sardonyx before they call the cops." I chuckled.
"Is Pearl out this year?" Rose asked.
"Yeah, she's pretty excited."
"You should probably get back to her." I shook my head.
"She's with Peridot and Amethyst." Rose looked shocked for a moment.
"I'm glad she's got some good friends."
"Yeah. See you around." I ran back towards my friends, listening for Sardonyx screaming my name to guide myself.
"This night's going well."
