Audrey sat back, watching the screen with tears in her eyes. She held the key that hung around her neck close to her lips, giving it a gentle kiss.

She was gone.

She was really gone.

Leaving nothing but pain.

"Hey, stranger" she felt a light tap on her shoulder, making her head turn around "Found you"

"How?" Audrey frowned.

"Noah told me" Vicki admitted, holding out one of the mugs in her hand "He also told me your order"

"You're a saint" Audrey smiled slightly as the girl plopped onto the couch next to her, shrugging at the compliment.

"What's this?" She asked quietly, turning to look at the girl's laptop.

"A video, for..." her voice quivered and Vicki reached out to squeeze her hand. She sat and watched with her, sighing slightly.

"She was beautiful"

"She was"

Vicki gave her hand another supportive squeeze before letting go so she could take a drink of her coffee.

"You never told me why you moved to Lakewood" Audrey began, turning to face the girl "But I can guess it wasn't anything nice"

"It wasn't" Vicki admitted.

"Was it anything like this?"

"In a way, yes" Vicki nodded, tapping her fingers against her drink "My parents and my brother...they aren't around anymore. I almost-" she stopped, letting out another sigh.

"You don't have to say anything you don't want to" Audrey reassured.

"I know" Vicki bit at her lip "But sometimes I almost wish I wasn't around. Like it would be easier"

"I know the feeling" Audrey agreed, letting her head fall onto the girl's shoulder. Vicki reached up to play with her dark hair, feeling very tired. Tired of the pain she endured that night she lost everything. And tired of the pain that refused to leave her.

"We can't give up" she stated "If we give up then we've let fear and pain win. And that isn't right"

"Does the pain ever go away?"

"Not really" Vicki admitted "It comes and goes, but it's almost always there"

"How am I supposed to keep going then?"

"By breathing" Vicki laughed slightly, shrugging shoulders "It's been working for me so far"

Audrey snorted, closing her eyes.

"I'm struggling" she confided in the ginger, reaching to hold the girl's hand.

"I know" Vicki nodded "But keep living okay? Do it for her"
