Vicki heard her phone buzz, stirring the girl from her peaceful sleep. She turned toward the noise, her eyes adjusting to the light slowly. Trying to focus on the bright screen, one word ran through her mind.

Shit.

She'd slept in, in fact school had ended at least an hour ago. She was still in Audrey's room, but the girl was missing. A small pile of clothes sat at the end of the bed, with a little note on top.

Getting up from the bed slowly, she picked up the piece of paper.

Told Marie where you are, take as long as you need

The girl smiled, pulling on her jeans - that had been dried out - and a fresh long sleeved shirt, courtesy of Audrey.

Picking up her phone once again, she noticed she had a text from Emma.

Can you come and meet us at the coffee shop, there's been an update

Although the message was awfully cryptic, the girl couldn't think of anything better to do. Informing Noah and Audrey of her location with a quick text - just in case it was a trick - the girl locked the door behind her, making a mental note to give the spare key back to Audrey when she next saw the teen.

Staring at the closed door , she could feel a presence behind her. Glancing nervously she saw no one. But in the back of her mind, the fear had returned.

She knew now things wouldn't be the same. Something had been triggered inside her last night, and she was afraid that everything was about to go downhill very quickly.

Sadly, she was right.

"And just before Noah and I were about to, you know-" Riley chuckled when Vicki covered her ears, humming loudly over the girls words "Tyler finally texted back. He wants our help"

"And you just left the little dude hanging?" Jake asked "Harsh"

"Jake, bigger issues" Will stopped his friend from continuing.

"Can we stop talking about my cousins deflowering and move on to the important topics, please?" Vicki gagged.

"Wait, did you text him back?" Emma lent forward.

"Yes" Riley answered "He said he didn't do it, but he's afraid that no one's going to believe him"

"I don't believe him" Brooke admitted "I told him to turn himself in"

"Wait, he texted you, too?" Emma frowned.

"Same time as Riley" The blonde shrugged "Probably he's suffering from psycho killer's remorse"

"Guys, I don't think this is Tyler"

"It was from his number" Jake shook his head.
