After chatting for another five minutes or so, Audrey and Vicki decided to move outside in order to sit in the sun to try and enjoy their time away from crazy murderers or high school drama. But as Audrey watched Brooke run towards their table, she realised it was never that easy.
"Hey!" She strode towards her, her heels clicking loudly against the ground "Hey, have you seen Emma?"
The blonde pulled back the seat Audrey had been using to rest her feet against - Vicki's seat, which she'd asked be kept for her whilst she went to the bathroom - and sat down, looking slightly panicked.
"Wasn't she supposed to be working this morning?" Brooke frowned.
"She was supposed to, but I haven't" Audrey shook her head.
"Then, who are you out with? Noah? No?" Brooke pointed to the empty cup in front of her "Wait! Are you on a coffee date?"
"Kinda" Audrey grimaced, waiting for the girl to flip out. Instead she let out a quiet huff, very clearly distressed.
"Are you okay?" Audrey leaned forward.
"I, um..." Brooke paused, inhaling sharply "I think I might have messed up"
"That's ominous"
"You're dark" Brooke sighed "Like, in a good way. I feel like maybe you would understand"
"That's even more ominous"
Brooke edged closer, just as Vicki walked out from the door.
"Oh" she grinned, running over to the table and grabbing the spare seat next to Audrey "What's the gossip?"
"Glad to see the caffeine has kicked in" Audrey joked, avoiding Brooke's look of surprise and happiness.
Probably shouldn't have confirmed the date thing.
"So, last night, I handcuffed Branson to a bed, threatened to castrate him with scissors and then left him trapped in a hotel room" Brooke explained, biting at her lip.
"You went full Hard Candy on Branson and left him chained to a bed?" Audrey asked, her eyes wide.
"Yeah. I don't know. I was just trying to scare him. I thought he knew something about Jake"
"I'm sorta proud" Vicki chuckled "You're becoming a little badass, B"
"Is he still there?" Audrey raised an eyebrow, seeing the more serious side to the situation.
Brooke sighed once again, reaching down and pulling out a small, pink cylinder.
"What the hell is that?" Audrey already knew the answer, but she was praying she was somehow wrong.
"It's the key to the handcuffs" Brooke replied.
"Oh, wow"
